Hey warmouse,

Diablo will spawn in a Greater Rift, but he will not provide loot because of basic Greater Rift rules.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Any updates on the game balance blog post? Friday or following week(s)?

From Nevalistis’s post a week ago, there still seemed to be several required approvals, proofreading, and translations into supported languages that appeared will take a bit of time.

You could read the title as 1000 of Diablo in a Greater Rift…thats wild, thats insane and thats really stupid! XD

Yeah…I’ve seen the videos. I play hardcore, so when I get near him, I just stop and let the counter reset…lol.

He seems to be immune to a ton of stuff, has high resistances, and can kill you with one shot even if you have 2 billion Toughness.

Anywhere else in the game, 2B Toughness is God Mode…

Yes, “kill streak” is the term, but in this game we tend to call a multiple of anything a “stack,” so the insignificant misnomer must be forgiven.

To me it came right across as a title, “1000 Diablo,” which we could call “The 1K Diablo,” or even, “1KD” for short.

And no thanks to you for trying to derail the thread with your questions just because you see Matt posting there.

If you want to ask those questions, find a thread where they have been asked and he has answered. You may not even have to ask.

Flagged for trolling.

Remember don’t do it on HC

It’s not a misnomer, as the Uber Diablo is spawned as a result of getting to 1000 stacks of the Pandemonium buff. It’s entirely possible to drop a killstreak but maintain the Pandemonium stacks, as the stacks last longer than the killstreak does.

Any plan to make Uber Diablo (with rewards) a permanent additional to the non-season game?

A Feat of strength, a pet and/or a 1KD exclusive transmog.
Love the addition, hope to see this become a permanent game fixture, post season. Diabolical massacre!

I don’t know if it’s too late but I got mine doing the cow level. If you avoid killing anything until you find the Cow King mission, finish that and then run around the map you should have no problem getting it.

Be prepared to not only do a lot of running, but likely go back to town a few times to repair your gear when you do get him at T16.

If you are playing Hardcore, you do NOT want to spawn Diablo . Stop at 900.

EDIT:
Here is one of the funnier reactions that had the WTF effect on most people when they first got him.

Was fun for sure. First time i got bounty mats 3 each then hellfire stuff second time.
Reminded me of d2 when we use to have to call in extra people when he spawned from sojs sold.

It would be easy to have a Pandemonium modifier, similar to the checkbox for empowering a rift for additional gem upgrades.

If you are referring incorrectly to the “Massacre!” XP bonus, then yes, the Pandemonium kill streak counter, “stacks,” if you will, do last longer, which is why we do not get insane XP bonuses for achieving the kill streaks necessary to enable the various Pandemonium effects.

And as I said, the buff icon is counting your current kill streak, and since that icon has the appearance that it does, and since in most instances multiples of anything in this game (including numbers of gems in your stash, which have no buff bar icon) are called “stacks,” it’s perfectly normal to call each monster killed in a Pandemonium kill streak a “stack,” especially since Blizzard themselves say:

“For each stack of this buff…”
https://us.diablo3.com/en/blog/23220970/season-19-the-season-of-eternal-conflict-is-now-live-11-14-2019#theme

But make no mistake; there is nothing in this game named, “Kill Streak.”

The Pandemonium buff stack counter is counting your kill streak, and the in-game Massacre! bonus counter is counting your kill streak, but there is nothing named, “kill streak.” But that can be confusing, since everywhere you are seeing that term:

“Unleash Pandemonium in Diablo 3 Season 19 with kill streak damage buff”
https://blizzardwatch.com/2019/10/14/diablo-3-season-19-buff-pandemonium/

“This season, you gain special bonuses from kill streaks”
https://www.polygon.com/2019/11/22/20976627/diablo-3-season-19-patch-notes-pandemonium-set-bonuses

Even Blizzard:
In addition, reaching certain killstreak goals will trigger a special effect and cause even more mayhem on the battlefield:

Players have to be forgiven for using inaccurate and mixed terminology, because Blizzard is the king of doing it.

But the term “kill streak,” is a descriptor; it describes what we are doing. The term, “stack,” is what we are achieving by accumulating a multiple of just about anything in this game (to my ongoing annoyance), and its use as a name for the current Pandemonium kill streak count is indeed verified by Blizzard (also to my ongoing annoyance).

But the term, “[adjective] Massacre!” such as “Brutal Massacre!” is the name of the variable XP bonus given for achieving kill streaks that have a much shorter duration between required kills.

It’s not called a “kill streak,” it’s called a “Massacre!”

This needs to happen. Perhaps some kind of out of season April fools joke???
