Akkan Change: Eternal Union Ring NEEDS SOCKET. + Buff

I’ve played hundreds of hours on Sader, gotten some GG drops, like an almost perfect Condemn Shield CHC, CDR, 15 to Condemn, but that is aside the point.

With the rework of Akkan and making it a “Pet Sader”, the Eternal Union ring will probably be a part of the build.

BUT, im not sure if im unlucky, but I have never yet found an Eternal Union ring that is “adequate”

They do NOT roll with a socket (old Hellfire nightmare anyone?), and they have an infinite poll of stats to choose from, life regen, life per second etc.

YES!! This is EXACTLY the attributes pool of Flavor of Time. Thank GOD it can be on the follower now.

If Akkan is to be the “Pet” set, PLEASE make it have a pre-rolled socket, and like almost all other rings, a pre-rolled CHC stat or something!

Unless this build becomes super OP and can 1 shot RGs…I dont planning on farming 1-2k mats to re-roll this ring so I can use it.

Thank you Blizz! This ring needs some adjustment, and maybe be some synergy with Condmn/dmg, we’ll see on the PTR.

But if anyone, and I know almost everyone wasted soooooo many mats on Fot, Please make this ring more accessible

It won’t be a pet set, in it’s traditional meaning. Because your pets are only going to be stat sticks, and procking Condemn (If I understand it corectly). Rolling the ring whit a default socket would still be nice.

Im curious how this…ranged Condemn is going to look lol.

But, yes, FoT, Manald, and until now Eternal Union are that I know of that rolls only

  1. main stat
  2. 4 completely random affixes

Fot being probably the biggest thing people reforged, but a GG Manald is super hard to roll, it even has an affix range.

Not sure how this build would work, but if Eternal Union is needed, I really hope they change it.

Almost every other useful ring has either

  1. pre rolled socket: hellfire, COE, Halo or a pre rolled offensive stat
  2. Ring of emptiness, Band of Might, Circle of Naluje Evol, Short Man’s Finger

Part of the reason is no one ever wanted the Eternal Union lol.

But if the PTR shows that it is needed, I hope Blizzard changes its affixes, I dont want to waste mats on this

And here I thought it was because Phalanx is a useless skill, because it’s dmg can’t be multiplied significantly. :smile:

and let us not forget bouncing arrows being reflected that kill your char, while the monster in question does not even notice it was hit. :stuck_out_tongue: That can be fun with this build, unusable in large patches of act 2 especially in hardcore and if see wrong monsters in rift or GR an immediate get the hell out of here/abort mission even if just doing an easy speedrun. :stuck_out_tongue:

I love me a phalanx archer build in SC to joke around with a bit and do it almost every season when use a crusader, but viable it is not, partly due to that working as intended feature. :smiling_imp:

Where is the fun in that? You want those archers close as a meat shield and absorb distance damage from succubi and such, it is only thing avatars are truly usable for anyway with the amount of damage they do and it is also the rune most likely to be able to apply condemn consistently and that seems to be the skill that will be doing all the damage in the end, but at extreme hazard to your char :stuck_out_tongue:

Besides once enter a GR you cannot change build, so GR fishing will be a major thing for Akhan Crusader even in speedruns, since your archers can kill you if meet deflecting enemies even on GR you can normally run with 10% of your attention, let alone when you push.

Funny that this problem was never addressed. Maybe that’s why they don’t buff Phalanx items? :thinking:

It is working as intended was answer in past, just it becomes a problem as your hp does not scale with power and damage you do or hp of monsters, leading to one shotting yourself with reflecting monsters without hurting them…

That has always been a main reason an archer build was completely unviable beyond their low damage for the items you need equipped and damage you give up for that (shield and helm) so they were only usable to apply things like gem off effacious toxin effects and such and as a replacement for a defensive item through damage mitigation they can give if use them well, since as meat shields they are actually not bad if learn to position your crusader well in battles and taking advantage of those archers shielding you from succubi bloodbolts and such.

That aside, if it does turn into a viable build, and if the ring is a requirement (not cubed)…oh boy, they better make some changes in its pre-rolled stats.

Unless you like reforging FoT…getting a decent Eternal Union is going to be a nightmare

True, then again in past you could get constant uptime on the archers with just the helm and enough CD reduction, so the ring may mainly be a QoL at least for more casual relaxed play, getting a great one will be a lot from lottery though unless those heavenly crucibles will help.

Then again with current power creep in game anyway I have been a fan of idea to make ramaladni usable on amu’s and rings anyway, which also would diminish that problem greatly.

Shortening the item grind is unlikely. It’s all that’s left of the game. All jewelry items should have been given sockets long ago because they’re basically useless without them. They need to feed you garbage items to slow down your progress. They mask it by giving you legendary items no more useful than whites even if it’s the item you were looking for.
