Why just not improving drop rate of high runes?

They found them by botting, but you already knew that, and quit acting like a know-it-all smart alec. You’re annoying dude.

I’m glad blizzard is taking the 1st steps to buff the game. Cry babies like you will be crying when we get that 200% rune drop rate that will be coming. Already the 50% MF bonus is coming to test the waters.

You’ll see. The people like you who dont want changes will have to find another game to play. Goodbye!

So its settled. In order to get HR’s all you need to do is play one very specific character in one very specific place. Oh so much fun. Lets make the rest of the game suffer because that one very specific scenario can be abused.

Wow, so much copium. Git gud buddy. Learn the game and maybe you will find your own runes.

Nope didn’t buy any hr’s this season.

Found 2x Ohm, 2x Sur, Ber, Jah, Cham and Zod.

First Ohm was very lucky it was off Countess. (lol) The other Ohm was from trav. Both the Sur’s were from Trav. The Ber Jah and Cham was also from Trav using find item. The Zod was from WSK 3 off those angry dual wielding cow guys.

All in all, trav gave me the most success. Why don’t you try it? Great for finding charms jewels, jewelry and the occasional decent unique with magic find.

You are almost there dude. And guess what? these bots are doing same as player, they are playing the game so they find them. And Actualy since horker bot doesnt exist, players can farm HRs more effective than bots. Bots mostly run just solo games.

Yeah we have MF bonus in event so what? You think they can do same with runes? not really as way of how runes drops is a lot more complex than simple MF buff.

The fact is that runes chances are basicly perfect now, no need to change anything,. If you actualy play the game and have some knowledge how to play effectively you will find them. But they, keep trying to cry about bots and low rune chances, its quite funny.

I fundamentally disagree with buffing rune drop rates. It SHOULD be brutlally hard to get the BIS gear/runewords. “Ladder” should typically consist of playing the game for ~150-200 hours before you get your BIS item (an enigma/infinity/60 IST worth of gear).

However, I’m GREATLY in favor of buffing the MF on unused sets (Nats, Aldurs, Marvinas +150% MF), and buffing weaker used unique items to “smooth” over the curve in getting the best gear.

or just add rune find modifier for gear.

It doesnt work like that.

Buff the rune drop let it rain !

Everything you just said is entirely untrue for those who play significantly more than you. In this season alone ive dropped at least 1 of every high rune, some 3 or more. The pre season i was up to like 6 of each except zod at 4. Your time investment is less and you will see that with your finds. If u want more, play more, and play smarter. Your 40 to 50 runs and 3 hour commitment isnt going to get u what u need. If thats not okay for you, this isnt your game. We die hards like it this way. The fact u haven’t dropped higher than a vex in 20 years suggests you not only dont play much, but u also dont search for runes properly either.

Its OKAY if this game isnt for you the way it is, but stop trying to change it to make other people hate it. The mods out there that changed rune drop rate ended up having their player base experience extreme fatigue early in seasons and lost almost all their playerbases before 30 days into a season, which forced them to inject even bigger items into the game. If theres nothing left to chase, people stop playing.

Based on my in-game finds I am also highly suspicious of everyone on the forums claiming “rune drops are fine” or “it should be lowered because I found so many.”

I am more likely to believe they are “item sellers,” however, who are trying to make a buck by running bots.

Sure, everyone is an item seller and runs bots. Based on my in-game finds with the little time I had to play Ladder, I am also highly suspicious of everyone on the forums claiming “runes are not dropping often enough”.

I am more likely to believe that they are Noobs, that say “but I want to play without adjusting to the game” and “but I want all the shinies without putting in time to play”, however, who are just “gimme gimme” people trying to cry on the forums.

rune drops seem fine to me. i found 2 ber (patch 2.4) within 3 games of each other. 1 zod pre patch also first ever. 2 ist (patch 2.4) within an hour of each other. honestly i have never found this many high runes until patch 2.4… now… good items post patch has been a different story for me. its really a shame that i’m trying to find MF items so i can properly MF… still going to have to grind, but i would have gotten most of the mf items by now pre patch.

wonder how that poll would look like if you asked how many high runes people have traded for in the first ladder. because finding enough to trade for the high rune(s) is way easier then finding high runes. especially if you have a ton of fg.

Ha, I have a couple zods from the ladder. It is like feeling nothing is dropping but every week something does. If we lose value in high runes there goes that last legit trade currency for trades. So far this ladder I found a ber, a jah, 2 lo, a cham, 2 zods. I have only been partly active. I spend a few hours a day farming if. They already in the last 20 years improved the drop rate. The high runes are no where near as uncommon as back in the day already. _edit, Also, the reason to use up some mids in recopies is to avoid having them build up for constant high rune transmutes. It is a goldsink and intended as balance. One would have to tread carefully on rune if changes are made. The little economy there is thrives on them as a currency, unless you just go the FG route that many frown on.

I suppose it is, however trading is not an answer for those who want to play self-found only, or in single player.

you can increase the rune drop rate on single players by using the /players command.

To be exact Players X decreases NoDrop chance, which causes more items to drop, and among them there may be runes, that’s true. That however requires a well geared character capable of handling stronger enemies, and in single players monsters have generally 25% more life - so the command, while helps a bit, is not really a solution.
Luckily, single player allows to use mods, and in fact I use one which increases rune drop quality by 10x - and still, drop rates for high runes suck.

botters trying to protect their cash cow. Of course they don’t want improved rune drop rates, it would flood the market and noone would buy.
