Drop rates on high runes are fine they were buffed almost a decade ago. Before they were ridiculous, now they’re just a really rare drop.

Drop rates are just fine as they are.
Its the chase that kept this game alive for 20 years.
Its the chase that keep people going for run after run, year after year.
Buffing the drop drates would make this game just another PoE or D3, no thank you.
Now that we have got rid of bots and dupes(atleast for amount of time x) game has some many chase items that its just amazing, every drop is good drop, worth something, keeps you going etc. hoping for that rune drop even more.
Please keep the drop rates just as they are thank you.

You specifically said that the demand is the problem, not me. The only scenario with no demand - is D3 wealth rain. All other cases make people stop to believe they can get one. You can find some topics here - people asking why they got nothing from 10 andy runs.
Agreed the low AF drop rate on runes will ruin this game in the long run. Sorry but we had dupers back in original D2 AND IT WAS STILL BAD. Something needs to change, whether it be adding in ploot or upping the high rune drop rate.

I fee like the drop rate should be somewhere between the middle of d2 and d3. While im still excited to get an primal ancient in d3, getting a super rare item in d2 is way more exciting. Honestly not everyone has hours and days to grind here. Chances are, people who grew up playing D2 are well into their 30s/40s with family, kids, and other responsibilities, i mean it would nice if high runes are actually obtainable,i have never found anything myself above a mal when playing the original.

If you’re in this thread whining about drop rates and arent opening every chest, turning over every rock, kicking every jar and tormented soul, pushing the lid off every casket, and stomping every wicker basket. do us a favor and shut the hell up about you’re QoL hot takes.
Do the legwork princess. And while your at it, learn to adapt. You dont need to be decked out in full gg gear to be successful. Enjoy what you find and put it to the best optimal use. I wish my merc had an Infinity right now, but you know what, the 55% deadly strike partizan i found suits him just fine at the moment.
On that note, when i found it i said “cooooool” not only is 55% dstrike pretty damn savage, but i didn’t even know that item existed. It was satisfying. If I saw one every other day like I presumably would in D3, I wouldn’t even have batted an eye.
Loot is not thrown at you in this game. And allthough you might find that displeasureable or dated the fact remains that how you feel when something new or needed finally drops is part of the core of this game and remaster.
So do me a favor, when you finally get your Ber, or Sur or Jah or Andy Face or any of the myriad other items thay are so coveted, be sure to PM me and describe the [word for what happens during coutious blizzard censored] I wanna know how loud you yelled, how many air fists you swung, and i wanna know which dance you danced when you leapt up from your chair.
And if none of that happens to you, then my friend you are not gaming any game correctly.

Other way around. Kunai’s Cube was too powerful, enter less powerful Horadric Cube.
Its been 1 week since everyone started at ground zero.
Some have had some luck, majority is still grinding.
Some of you need to remember what game your playing, this isnt loot rich D3 where you are end game with minimal effort.
This isnt Botnet either where the majority already has elite items due to the 15000 mf runs their player 8 team has done already…
Wake up and play the game you all paid for or move along.

they already have a game where they improved the drop rates. its called d3. excellent little game…i enjoyed playing it very much and some actually prefer it to this. you sound like you could be one of those.

Lmao always funny seeing the one off elitists acting like they’re an authority on the “soul” of the game. Most of us have been gaming since D2 which we also played (and modded versions BTW), and by the looks of it we’ve probably experienced more than you have.
The soul of the game has nothing to do with spending the time I do on a full time job to get 1 high rune doing mindless runs like I’m a human bot. If that’s where you think Diablo’s soul is… LOL. I love this game and have been playing a ton, but if you think most people are going to play the game for years just to get something good, you’re highly mistaken. You will definitely get your wish! It will be long dead before then, and everyone will have moved on to a new game.
I’m not advocating for higher rune drops, but man you elitists that can’t take change would gladly see the game die instead of be open to making a change that keeps more players on for a longer time. Even one mention of change and your small minds close even tighter lol, not even contemplating anything
Get over yourself. The game wont break because they slightly adjust something by a tiny factor. Plenty of things need fixing, it’s not perfect. D2 was one of the oldest and first big RPG attempts and very solid, but could be improved plenty.
OH BY THE WAY. I’ll leave you with this. You want to keep drop rates the same, but they actually effectively lowered rune drops, because they REMOVED SUPER CHESTS FROM LOWER KURAST. Where’s your faithful “don’t change anything” attitude there?
But whatever, I don’t care about that. It is a week in after all so we will see how long we last.

Theres some room for balance between a week and 2-4 years i think.
Yeay some script kiddies will always test boundaries and get banned for their easy to detect crap. But the organised RMT bot hoards from the selling sides, with money behind professional bot development, would greatly reduce when most people stop buying there.
Saying that the reason for the bots isn’t the scarce drops is just naive and denial.

If the droprates are too low, play singleplayer and use hero editor, then transport the save over.
Or play multiplayer and trade for what you want.
It’s hilarious how many people are calling for fixes now that botting and duping isn’t as easy as it used to be- as in, now that the ladder isn’t flush with cheated items. Welcome to the actual droprates, kiddos.

I also never found a rune above mal (dropped from carver once), but my maximum wealth was Lo.
It is OK, when some people have more wealth than other, there is no communism in D2.
That would be so cool … ! As long as they don’t over do it … I don’t want a diablo 3 drop rate, but i also don’t want the low 0,00000001 % from 20 years ago…

Rune drops are fine. All this would do is make people quit sooner

Plus you don’t run bosses for runes, hell cow has 1:750000, ~400 cows per level, 1:2k per full run. Thats nearly sane. But things like Windforce, grandfather, tyraels with drop rates 1:10k - 1:100k you need to boss farm, are just stupid rare.
