Well you must not know a lot of people because it has already over 500k peak players, and you need to buy Founders packs to play right now, and not everyone is playing at the same time so the number of people who purchased Founders packs is a lot higher.
Keep in mind the game is also based on location so you’re only going to see people near you, not the entire country. So it’s also limited to people playing near you

Also why shouldn’t players in California be able to connect with the players in Nevada, they’re literally beside each other. The ping difference would be minimal.
I already tested it with a VPN. They both connect to different servers.
I understand it might be a lot of work, but now that Lost Ark is out, having a “localized” network is likely going to be the death of this game (it’s the reason the online is boring as piss in the first place).
Is NL just going to be a ghost town once ladder is out?
I understand ladder has been delayed, so definitely release ladder first. But they should seriously consider fixing this soon after.

It’s a bug with the game list not populating games. I live in bay area California and it’ll either be like your experience, with plenty of games, or literally 0-2, depends on whether the “bug” is active or not. I have no clue what determines all this, I just know it happens.

I don’t think that’s as true as most want to believe.
Imo most just got sick of all the BS and issues and quit and there won’t be nearly as many returning for ladder as some think.
Blizz already got the money and doesn’t care.

Pretty much yes. Farming gear is usually hidden in private games. And who wants to xp to 99 without a leader board?
Personally I am waiting on more space.
Now I might be waiting forever, or maybe just a long time.
PlugY spoiled me, what can I say. A currency tab would help, and either having them for free or allowing me to purchase extra shared tabs would be fine as well.
Also I am playing the classic D2:LOD with my 2 siblings as we can /player8 in that one and still play just us 3. We like the game that way and they didn’t want to come to D2R on that thing alone, oh well.
I will be trying patch 2.4 once it is live tho, that’s a given.

I always enjoyed Diablo for its atmosphere, mood, ambience, story, music and settings. This hasn’t been successfully copied since D2 LoD. I understand the absolute endgame for Diablo is to go fast, destroy huge packs of creatures for that tiny increase in power, and many love this aspect.
I however need both and even less of the latter. One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of D2 clones, even D3, is the breakneck finger cramping and speed killing starts sooner and sooner and gets grindier and grindier. D3 rifts and 16 torment levels as an example. I’m not even going to touch PoE, as it’s become so convoluted they’ve taken to a reductionist stance with the systems in PoE 2.
No thanks. You can have those games, I still enjoy the challenge and thrill of opening doors and moving room to room, checking the corners for chests and skeletal archer platoons ready to Swiss cheese you from the shadows. I don’t want to bunny hop at breakneck speeds where it feels like I’m wasting time if the mob density isn’t a demonic orgy.

We are around, most folks indeed are waiting on ladder. I mean ain’t no real end game and to keep from getting worn out folks take breaks before they have to start over. It will pick up at the ladder start, and then last a few months and go right back to mostly empty. I still find 8 man runs, they take longer though to get going. After about 3 or so runs folks start joining.
I have no incentive to play. When ladder is out I’ll play that which means anything I do now will be deleted soon. I logged in to test something out, I’ll probably organize my mules and chars that will stay, but why play?

Take your pick, these all plagued the launch, and players got frustrated and moved on until they are fixed and now waiting for 2.4 and ladder.
So far, I dont think we have any confirmation or comment that ANY of these have been worked on, instead they have only prioritized skill work, runewords, and other fluffy sht that the Gen Z gamers want instead of a functional game.

That game was way to WOW like haha, it is nothing like diablo. It is WOW or guild wars with some diablo like combat, way too many fetch quests i was bored in 20 minutes. Already back playing Path of Exile it is 100x better than lost ark will ever be for diablo fans, if you want WOW guild wars kind of game with idiotic quests and bad story line go for Lost ARK. I tried really hard to like it, i wanted to like it . Just couldnt

just wait until day 11 when Lost ark it’s 100% F2P and all people can play it without pay 15$ for 3 days of anticipation.
too late for D2R the ladder, people are going to ignore it for lost ark. (where i include myself) i waited already like 3 months for the ladder announcement date, i lost all the hype and now i only want play Lost ark.
Yup Friday for Lost Ark. I’m not sure it will hold my attention for long, I’ve been watching the streamers and it seems kind of generic, but it’s a new shiny toy.
