I haven’t seen a single werebear in any public game since ladder started. Has anyone seen a bear? Is anyone playing a bear? Are bears now extinct?

Werebear got halved in attack speed, you cannot play a single target, mele, slow walking and now as of 2.4 slow attacking, it’s just not a good build. A fun build, maybe for single player where people don’t care that much for efficiency, you can have summons or armageddon+claws now that you need 40 less skill points in sinergies.
But otherwise, it’s less appealing than never. I did a werebear at launch, he was hitting 24k dmg (like 10k phys and 14k fire) 5fpa, he killed faster than a fury i can tell you that, now i rerolled him lol.
As it was quite unpopular (and now even less) i don’t really think people noticed the build got actually nerfed (most people will tell you it got buffed instead), so i’m not expecting any changes for bear.

my summon druid is also a bear … but… he dont attack… its just for the life boost
Attack speed would be a less concern if they had much more AR boost. But nooooo… they gave everything to warewolves. What for? I don’t understand the decision.
summon druid uses bear for shockwave and defenses. for attack the werewolf is much better now attack wise, it’s why you don’t see bear so much anymore. Before you could have “turbo” bear with high defenses and all that. now its attacks = werewolf / defensive = bear kind of setup. I prefer that actually and it’s more in line with lore and traditional gameplay. turbo bear was really kind of an unintended thing and has now been “corrected”
Bear got nerfed in the sense that there’s now a difference between wolf and bear.
Wolf is more damage bear is more survival.
Both as a whole got a buff in other places
