Honestly the biggest issue that I see with the change crowd is that they can’t make sense of what’s different between a QOL change or a balance change or a game changing mechanic. They think that changing a loot system is QOL or adding content means a QOL change when in reality it’s not even close. QOL changes don’t effect the game in any way other than making something automated or meaning less clicks or making it a better experience for the user. Now don’t get that twisted with making it EASIER for the player as all these people are demanding. They are using drunk goggles and are so hard headed to see the difference. QOL changes are more than welcome, changing the game internally and systematically is not.

The plootists are only doing their own heads in though, this is what I mean, they have become so embittered.
It is becoming farcical. Now some of the ones advocating for change are pulling the “I have a job and am married with kids so the game should be easier since I have less time to play” card.
They would be…humbled…by the RL commitments many of the people who skim this forum have.

I know why a developer uses canned lines like that. It might be because, like you said, they want to be nice so they use that line.
Next they might be saying those lines just in case things change and they do actually put in something similar to what is being suggested. Where the implementation is vastly different.
It could be their way of saying, like I have said about games never say never.
As far as ploot goes it isn’t happening. I think that issue will be like PC offline mode is for D3.
