What to socket Natalya's set with?

I made a trapper sin with my Nat’s set and am wondering what to put in the sockets. I know facets don’t work with traps and I currently have a Hel in the armor but not sure what else to use. Just load up on health? I’m not going to be MF’ing with her so no use for that and her resists are maxed out in hell.

If you are not mfing, what do you plan to do with Nats? It’s no good for pvp, been there done that.
Best bang for you buck is putting perfect topazes for mf or rubies for life, if you are covered with resists. Other option is jewels with FHR, if you are missing to hit the breakpoint l

Natalya Set is the only set that can easily get 50% Physical Resistance with virtually no effort. The set yields a massive 30% so to get the other 20% merely requires using Fade and putting 20 Hard points into it. 20 Hard points = 20% Physical Resistance along with the massive boost to All Resistance. Should you manage to get to level 33(which isn’t too hard with Natalya set), that’s +70 All Resistance to go along with +75 to 95 Cold/Light/Poison Resistance on the Set itself(depending on Helm/Boot rolls. Fire is slightly lower at +60 to 70). TLDR: Its not hard to get max Resistance and 50% DR with Natalya Set. Just note your overall Physical Defense is not going to be top notch(aka your chance to be hit will be quite high).

As to what to socket into the Helm, Armor and Claw, that’s entirely up to you and what build/setup you have(namely dual-wield or Claw/Shield). Given that you’re a trapper(I assume…), Claw weapon speed is what matters. Therefore I suggest grabbing a Plague Claw in a Runic Talon base(-30 base Weapon Speed) with ideally +3 to Light Sentry.

Then in a dual Claw setup, your combined WSM would be -15(Runic Talons = -30, Scissors Suwayyah = 0. -30 + 0 / 2 = -15). To reach the max Trap Laying speed of 75 IAS, you’ll want to equip Natalya’s Claw as the primary Claw since it has 40% IAS already while Plague, despite being in a really fast Claw, only has 20% IAS. IAS on Secondary Claw is completely ignored in Trap Laying equation so that leaves 35% IAS. There are multiple ways to achieve this.

  1. 20 IAS Gloves + 15% IAS Jewel. Lava Gout Gloves would be ideal since they not only give 20% IAS, but also 24% Fire Resistance. Then merely plop 15% IAS Jewel in either Natalya’s Claw or in Armor Slot. Keep in mind that 40% Enhanced Damage and/or 15 All Resistance can be a Prefix(since 15% IAS is a Suffix).

  2. Shael Rune + 15% IAS Jewel. Socket Nat’s Claw with Shael brings it to 60 IAS, hence 15% IAS elsewhere hits the breakpoint.

  3. Death Gloves + Belt + 15% IAS Jewel. Death Set Gloves get 30% IAS with its Belt counterpart so a 15% IAS Jewel is all that is needed to hit the breakpoint. Belt also provides CBF, a very useful trait.

  4. Shael rune + 20 IAS Gloves. Goes a bit over the breakpoint but its quick and painless.

If you choose option #1, #2 or #4, I highly recommend using Trang-Oul Belt for Can Not Be Frozen. You’ll need it to keep Trap Laying Speed as fast as possible while keeping your mobility as quick as possible. As to what to socket into those sockets… honestly that’s entirely up to you. Traps do not benefit from Rainbow Facets but I suppose one area you could buff is Faster Hit Recovery, hence plop 2 Shael runes into Chest for 40% FHR and get another 48% from Skill GC’s to hit the 86% Breakpoint. As for the Claw and Helm… I honestly don’t know. If you choose option#2 or #4, the Claw is already spoken for, hence I’d do Gul, Vex, Ohm or Lo to increase Max Resistance cap or an Um rune to stack Resistances.
