Play how you like, but it is an entire waste of time doing normal & nightmare runs, especially of the Countess. You will get those same runes, as often, in Hell, just from regular monsters, or from doing Countess runs. Meanwhile, you will you have the chance to get other drops from hell that can only drop in hell. Another thing, the Ancient Tunnels, Pit, and Mausoleum are only worth doing in Hell, because only in Hell do they have the level 85 area set, in Normal and Nightmare they do not have any advantage over other areas in the game.

Doing them just to farm runes? Sure. But normal countess for tal eth early on is very important. Stealth makes the early game so much better. And Nightmare countess to get a spirit if you are a caster is very important.

Yes, farming them early or as you are playing through the game is worthwhile, I agree. However, the context of the conversation is that the OP is already in Act 2, Hell difficulty. So my point was that having a run routine of Normal Countess → Nightmare Countess → Hell Countess → other Hell stuff, is very inefficient because at that point, there is no value in doing the Normal & Nightmare Countess runs, just use that time to do more Hell Countess.

to keep crying on the forums until the devs increase drop rates. then come back and cry some more, because i still cannot find anything. then i will upgrade all my EL runes to a zod and uninstall the game.
