We need the option to Turn On/Off Exp gain

We want to pause Exp again for the reasons below:

We can use low-level (LLD, MLD) characters to fight in hell alongside our friends.
This will test our new limit.
This is a challenge we can be proud of.
This will boost our creativity for survival.
This will boost our teamwork and playing with friends will become more fun.
This will remove the boredom of often 1 shot KO mobs with our level 90s.
This will make low-level speed runs in hell possible without ruining LLD/MLDs.
To some, this will make the impossible achievable.

Summary: Being able to “turn On/Off the Exp Gain” will bring, fun, thrill, creativities, and a sense of accomplishment to the table, which will promote Pride & Joy, engagement along with player retention. Thank you all!

Players - Please be kind! Would you support this feature with your comments?
Developer - Generally, this change does not break the game. Would you support this?

Yes, I support this.

Its feature I would definitely use.

I’d support this, and I don’t even PVP.

Sounds good to me. Forever LLD

i think diablo 2 already gives toxic people a large enough avenue to do what they do, no need to encourage it further.

I see no reason to implement this into the game, it’s a direct counter to the progression. Congratulations on finding a new way to pvp. Now kindly go away and go back to your troll level 9-49 gimped character duels. You don’t need to have extra skill levels from hell games to do your ninny level 9-49 blocked duels. You also don’t need to pvm hell p8 games on gimped sub standard characters.

What is the main point of this, to stroke your epeen? Hur dur I’m level 17 and killed Ubers on my broken paladin? Look guis I’m super cool under leveled and not helping anyone kill anything in pvm.

Perhaps you should reevaluate what diablo is about, and it isn’t to stop leveling in a game where levels mean power. It’s bad enough people feel the need to troll with these stupid characters in pvp but limiting their progression in leveling to get extra skills and stats is completely absurd.

I vote no and thanks for wasting time on the forums with this trash suggestion. I’d prefer to use more vulgar language and spit obscenities but blizzard and forum white knights might get their panties in a wad.

Your thread blows. Feel free to quote me and respond. However I won’t retort you imbecile’s. Get bent.

It would have literally zero impact on you, yet you felt compelled to post that wall of text barf.

Yikes. That dude needs a hug or a role model or something…

This is a cool idea. If it were implemented I’d like to it done with a charm. Unique large charm, lvl1 req. -100% xp.

Since everyone can decide this for themselves, this is not a bad thing. I would be in favor of such an option.

I would like to keep some characters in the Normal difficulty for a long time, because the game still seems the most natural and authentic to me.

The way through Normal, without already being overwhelmed with items or being rushed through, is the way that actually still represents the game the best. Only the HC mode does this even better, as there you also experience the thrill of a real RPG experience through the survival factor and the more cautious play style and skill way.

So why not… Give us an Exp ON/Off function on an optional basis.

As much as I liked your idea of turning on and off exp gain. Something needs to be fixed still. I want the act 5 glitch to be finally fixed where you can’t get the Ancients quest without being the proper level. In other words, the Ancients quest will remain blank in normal until you are a level 20. Same is true for nightmare at level 40 and hell at level 60. So the low levels can’t get the reward quest in the higher difficulty’s. It would make perfect sense.

Terror zones become harder the higher your level is. I wouldn’t find it weird that some players would prefer to stay at a certain level rather than have mob difficulty increase when grinding the same areas.
I know it’s the usual gripe I have with level scaling : if monsters are going to gain power at a faster rate than I do, why would I want to level up? Leveling up becomes a chore that you do to get to max level where you can finally get to what the whole point of the leveling system is supposed to be all about : you finally start gaining power compared to your surrounding (through equipment and whatever end-game power systems exist).

But please also keep in mind that not having a use yourself for a specific system doesn’t mean others don’t have a use for it.

No problem with this QoL feature. Why not?

Thanks Bugles!
I agree, it’s the option of turning it on or off. If someone like VileInfected doesn’t want to turn off Exp gain then he can just keep that on.

Lol, is this tor real? Qmb came at this with the kindness and precision of a baby bunny in a tuxedo and you took the biggest nastiest monster s**t right infront of the stage.

Heck, look at your name. You represent the side of humanity I’m embarrassed to be a human for…

This suggestion obviously doesnt hurt anyone, and look at the profiteers above who abuse P8/multiboxing for FG/RMT? They love it! Not much can get the 2 types of players (non-boxers vs profiteers) in agreement.

You’re just a rabid dog

I don’t care either way but if they do implement this, make it so with this option you still gain exp after hitting 99 like Diablo 1.

I want this as well. I wish they would add it already. its very much in the “Why not?” Category. It hurts nobody. Allows people to make LLD/MLD without accidently gaining xp.
