We need 5 more Acts

I call being able to level to 99 multiple times without ever seeing the items I want to be boring. To each their own.

You are aware there is open trading in this game, right?

And if you’re playing offline, there are mods where you can tweak the drop rates to whatever you want them to be.

Baalor is right, its old crap game design… but D2R boomers don’t understand that everything that’s old is not good perse, public drops is one of them… its dumb as hell. There is no right or wrong perse in this opinion but finding a necromancer class rare amulet when i’m NOT playing one is kind of dumb and a waste of time.

OK, if it’s so dumb, then why are you here? Move on to something better. No one but you is stopping you from doing so. Stop punishing yourself.

Well its more that you realize that people just have a different view about it and you getting out of your angry manchild fase thinking that everything that was and is Diablo 2 is the next coming of jezus. Diablo 2 is overall a fun game but some things could’ve been changed and even for a remaster work bad. Just matter of opinion and allot of people either agree or disagree with this.

There is very clear reason why D2R died out in playerbase faster then LOD… drop rates and how drops work is one of them.

You and others who want massive changes to this remaster have the burden of convincing to make it happen.

Those who want little to no change are content and can stand pat with a stalemate.

D2:R popularity died out because the majority of players these days are used to continuous stream of updates and changes, they’re also used to much faster paced ARPGs. They moved on.

The reason people stop playing is because there Ber rune drop is snatched away from them, or simply because the unique items they find have vague and crap stats on them and are complete pointless… it’s not even a stream of updates, its overall just bad a old design, that’s why they moved on… doing 500 mephisto runs just so you can do more mephisto runs but faster is simply not a game to most people. That’s the reason when i played battlenet and just trade the stuff i find casually for the things i need… less waste of my time… after that you realize that those high end items are pointless to have and that the whole game is not even balanced after enigma’s or other high end runewords and realize that the game is still fun but flawed and old.

Then old diablo2 farts come on raging that NO change should happen… im not talking about Players 8 here or nonsense like that, just basic updates to unique items or private loot drops soo… controversial… i know

What’s your point? Its okay if you don’t like what I would consider to be a better loot system.
I don’t want to rely on trade and mods. I’d rather be able to judge how long it would take to get what I want. Sure, luck can be factor that shaves off time.
Your condescending statement of ā€œpityā€ drops is laughable. I’d rather be able to use drops I don’t like to ā€œwork towardsā€ what I want. Maybe by being able to get crafting materials from useless drops, which I can use to either have a chance at what I want, or craft what I want.

Use a char editor…

It IS an old game because it is! Just like when you blow the dust off Diablo 1 to play it.

Look the real solution is waiting until private servers come out for d2r at some point so the extreme minority of gamers (roughly 28 players globally) who want to continue play d2r in a modified or updated way can be satisfied that they get ploot in their game or p8 online with the 27 other players. The bigger minority of gamers will continue to play d2 lod/d2r as it is and therefor everyone can go home happy.

No. 5 more acts would be adding d4 onto D2. Is that what we really want? No one that made D2 is still around.

Your asking this new band to sing exactly like the original band. Ain’t happening

No.

I feel more like you’re trolling when saying ā€œBeing able to find what I’m looking for within a max time frame instead of it just being completely random like pulling the lever of a slot machine.ā€ talking about D2.

There is something called RNG. Some games have a very limited amount numbers in the RNG and other games have lots of it, like D2.

The dropchances for runes even got a buff since 1.13.

D2 is a game that has lots of lootpatterns, saying that it is a bad lootdesign is your opinion. Low dropchances and the fight for loot is what many D2 fans like. If you’re greedy and feeling bad cause of playing it, then D2 isn’t your kind of game even if you like the gameplay.
The from you so called ā€œSlotmachineā€ is giving you a really rewarding feeling when you find something rare, this is also intended and one reason why D2 has so much replayability.
Compared to a real slotmachine you will at least not burn down thousands of bux and destroy your life.

If it is your opinion that the drop mechanis are badly designed in D2, you either troll or very unxeprienced in D2, and I don’t mean it in a bad way or want to insult you.

If you playing SP you will need a good amount of time to get the highend gear.
But be cautios, once you have it, the game becomes a cakewalk and you possibly start to complain about the game beeing to easy…

No srsly, RPG’s or ARPG’s need RNG. For some games, the more, the better.

D2 became so beginner friendly, and while many think that it is a good thing, I am sure that I’m not the only one who like games that are not beginner friendly. One example is Mosaic, you barely need gear, just get a Mal and a Gul and GG…

RNG beeing RNG, once in your life you will find 2 really high HRs in one run, and then there will be months of finding nothing but Amn runes. Bad luck.

There many RPGs that has very little RNG, there actually pretty good ones among them, but the huge randomness of D2 is part of what it makes a great game.

TL:DR
I said I’d prefer a better system, you asked what that meant. I answered.
Don’t like it? I don’t care.

Don’t answer me if you don’t read lol.
Not having that guaranteed item in a certain timeframe is a big reason why the game has so damn much replayability, people playing it for decades, it’s part of what makes D2 what it is and what it’s known and liked for.
Saying it could use a better lootsystem like you explained, I feel like you’re the one who is trolling.
And then I get a answer like this

Someone answered me and don’t like what I said, so can I please?

Hater gonna hate…

I heard players are complaining about too many drops in Diablo 4. The town floor just covered in legendary items or whatever labels they have for them.

:o

Good game for people who like to get OP quick.

20 years later…

This game is 2EZ. Same cookie cutter build every single ladder. I’m bored of being bored of the item grind, the game should just give me the items so I can call it finished and move onto another game I’m bored with…

 :bulb: Oh hey, I know, lets request massive sweeping changes just to make the game different, so I can play the same game, differently, without playing a different game.

This is peak autism with no capability of understanding other people’s perspective because you suffer from it.

I bet if they updated class or tab skills on rare armors and add ias and fcr breakpoints on them you would soil yourself right because its just different then before ?

I must have struck a nerve.

Oh? Got something else to say? I see you typing… Let it all out.
