If you die, you lose a % of stash gold in personal stash same with D2 LOD, however if you put it into the shared gold stash it looks like it doesn’t get touched in D2R from what I’ve tested.
maybe they should change the merc equipment system a bit and give these dudes some pants and rings to battle rather than just a helmet, weapon, and chest piece. maybe then will they live an extra 5 seconds

I definitely lost shared stash gold, just not on the last tab.
Global Progress means everything is linked at the top level across Regions and Platforms. IF that goes belly up everything under it is impacted.

yeah i wouldnt mind some gloves and boots but i think we get a bit overpowered with rings and ammys
If you run about 10 pindle/Shank/other boss north of Frozen Tundra WP - easily make 1 million gold and you don’t need your follower for those.

not necessarily, it could share information between them and still drop only one region from the cluster without affecting the others, it even happened at launch as well, I played in Asia when both eu and na were down

Just go do something for a couple a hours. Spend time with family or clean your room. You know you have food and stuff all around your desk.

Of course they are aware.
So they post a standard copy paste message. Meanwhile they sit there at their desk, playing some silly browser games, waiting until enough people give up and go other things until their insufficient servers are no longer overloaded.

My guess is that since the AVX fix way more people are online now and servers get stressed out, looks like they need to upgrade again.
I don’t actually exist outside of the internet and Diablo 2. My purpose is to comment during server outages. I can never experience the game with my current level of sophistication.

You should have released diablo 1 remastered first. It would have been easier.

Normal companies do these things in the weekend because no one is using the server at that time, if blizz is doing tasks in the weekend it would be incredibly stupid, weekends mean more people using the server and less people on location fixxen possible issues.
Than again it being blizzard, might be possible
I doubt this is something they planned at all. Yesterday’s was unplanned and they had emergency maintenance. However there are likely a lot of background tasks that are running and one of them could be causing the issue. Just given that it happened around the same time.
