Welcome to another episode of Hoarders: Diablo II Edition!
It sounds like you’ve reached a point where stash space has become more valuable than the items you’re collecting. Since Blizzard is most likely not going to add additional character slots any time soon (if ever), you have a couple of options:
1: You can tame your inner hoarder and do some spring cleaning and get rid of the less valuable items you’re holding onto while also reducing the number of duplicate items you have (gems/lower value runes/crafting items) You can just throw the stuff on the ground and get rid of it, or you can try to “downsize” the item(s) by trading them for smaller item(s) with similar value. (Tals Set for a single rune for example)
2: Or you can dig yourself deeper into hoarders paradise and purchase another copy of the game on a new Blizzard account and do some account juggling.

I do however understand the problem once u play a melee char with a full inventory of charms, there is a decent chance of hearing this once or twice in a high density area with a huge pile of junk on the floor while u are trying to chop ur way through a horde of enemies spamming ur melee attack (having it on right click helps alot when using things like Fury,Zeal,Frenzy etc. since u can press once and hold to auto target closest enemy)
BTW: if none of the 2 suggested options work there is a 3rd option, GET HELP (psychologist, therapy or similar) hoarding can be treated

I still think moving the charms to an extra space would have made LoD better. Your inventory in classic is basically empty except for few spare gear options maybe. It felt better. It would be helpful in all aspects of the game and only minor power creep in PvM.
It wouldn’t have much impact on the hoarding issue. The biggest problem is, the file size where your character is stored. They would have to tackle that issue first or you would have lot’s of topics about poofing items again

That’s why playing without inventory filled with charms is nice
Especially when that improvement also provides a sink for all those runes that drop
Then the stash is happy with rune/gems/key/organs stacking

or just use JSP and convert those items into currency that doesn’t take up stash space or lose value as the season goes on.
that what i do. i never tap into gold from previous seasons unless its a stupid good deal from someone who didn’t realise they had a perfect roll of a unique or something crazy underpriced
I totally agree the amount of portals to the town is crazy. I would suggest to simply create a second stasch for charms and limit them to only function there. On higher diff the only way to play is to really load fully with charms and in case of soem drop you really need to port to town like with every weapon… that is really not fun

Sounds like u chose option 2
May i suggest u use ur alt acc to pickup loot?, that way u can skip the acc juggling. Might aswell be multiboxing when hoarding (you ARE allowed to dump trash on the floor once identified btw)
I think we might be able to gather enough participants to do an entire season of Hoarders from this topic alone

I rather like listening to the multitude of item drop sounds. They make those same nice sounds when you are cleaning for more room.

I am all for improvements to loot management (charm bag, without being sure how much it should be able to contain, stacking, extra personal tabs, loot filters, etc…). There’s a limit though to what I can agree with.

What I was speaking of in specific is his jealousy of other classes powers
and or items and his desire to nerf ALL Of them, As for me I want fewer
nerfs of items, Classes, Or skills that or nerf them all and move on and
the 
up
