Whole goal with blizzard for a lot of the remake other than making money, was to not offend all the players, or to ruin the game by minimal changes. The sundered charms are too much. need to be removed. Just breaks the game in too many ways.

We haven’t yet seen if they have made some balance changes to the charms. We’re still waiting on patch notes to come.
I’m still going to be running dual element builds like usual. The charms (should) need decently expensive supporting gear to be effective for running a single damage type build.
We still haven’t seen what the new ladder only runewords are… I’m sure more “sky is falling” posts are coming…
