And my merc doesn’t have reaper’s toll yet, so no decreepify
It’s so annoying my keyboard almost breaks lol
1 point in Vengeance. Bring Mana pots.
If you overspecialize you run the risk of immunities screwing you over. Versatility is king.
I run into the same thing. Anything that’s Lit immune + phys immune I can’t kill. So I skip it.
Basically what I’m doing now, mostly run away from phys immune
Yep, as Christoefer said, 1 point in Vengeance is an easy solution.
Traditionally, all physical PvM paladin builds have 1 point in Vengeance, similar to physical barbs having 1 point in Berserk. It’s an easy enough solution for the not so common phys immunes. You can always skip them, but this allows you to power through literally anything in the game if you so choose.
Lawbringer in a phase blade on switch. You’re welcome.
Or could have lazerator on switch to cast amplify damage and then back to smite.
You sometimes can’t break physical immunity even using curses, some foes even with lawringer also. The easiest and reliable way is by using vengeance, can be a bit boring or sad but at least you could kill the foe without investing too much.
Mostly you’re gonna use even lvl 1 zeal in small fry, smite on bosses and one point on vengeance paired with “resist elemental” because often you need it for ubers, those combination of factors could help you a lot against any foe.
Just tried vengeance, took forever to kill phys immune in act 4
Anyway, the more annoying issue is the mana burn/leech. Smite/Zeal don’t consume that much mana but mana drain bug makes DPS so bad
It isn’t a fast solution, but it’s a solution. Not quite bailing out the ocean with a fork
lawbringer seems to do the trick in most cases
i have zealer/smiter and lightsabre as main weapon. its quite rare (a lot :)), but nicely working, it has lightning and magic dmg and also ignore target defense. So no need to switch on immune and nn of ar, bosses are smited. but when is a lot immune it took some time to take them down. Azurewrath should do the same service but it would be nice to jah it …
Things I have used on switch in order of increasing efficiency;
Demons Arch Balrog Spear.
Lightsabre PB.
Azurewrath PB.
Wholeheartedly agree with this, Salvation, and Cleansing (which boosts Salvation, need to waste a point in Prayer, but I find Cleansing very useful) I think Salvation and Cleansing often get over looked… certainly by the “streamer” crowd.
Getting a little off track, but I’ll throw in Redemption (and the prerequisite Vigor) too. It’s nice to keep a full belt and pull life/mana off the ground.
Lacerator
Baranars star
With enough skills, 1 point in blessed hammer will do more than enough
I forgot about Lacerator. Wonder if that’s even better than Lawbringer’s Decrepify? Might have to dig into one of my mules and find that sucker… Thanks for the suggestion!
is…
is he complaining about dealing with phsyical immunes… on a paladin?
i dont even…
well u can use holy freeze, shock, or fire
if u don’t want to change your build… u can put a single point in sanctuary or venegence.
barb only has berserk…
and wolf and bear druid have literally NOTHING.
anyone who complains about anything on paladin should should have all thier paladins locked for 6 months and be prevented from creating new ones… so they can idk experience a challenge for once in their life
I use Kingslayer Rune Word on my smiter, which already has +1 Vengeance and I never had a problem with immunities.
And in general if I can avoid them, I just run past them
Yes it is better than decrepify.
Runeword brand.
Reapers toll
Azurewrath
Lacerator
Sanctuary breakes phys immunities on undead at least.
i mean skill wise, every class has access to items
also all of those are only merc weapons… none can be used by the druid because of the ias restriction which ( THANK GOD will be gone TOMORROW!!!)
YAY!!!
they are completely reliant on merc
act 2 merc is reapers is common becuase no other merc class is viable other than act 2
which means no act 5 with or lawbringer
ROFL at brand and lacerator though
and sanctuary from azure only works for the person using it… so that would mean azure on a merc would do nothing. but lawbringer does work for act 5 ( and is extremely common in POD, where might aura was moved to act 5)
luckily tomorrow we’ll have doom, death, and cranium basher as viable options, as well as many others
but even so we still lack any “skill” to bypass them
