What does thius have to do with chicken? WoW is not a loot game is it?
We neither need your approval or autorization.

i wouldn’t set a limit to a number i would just let people use more stash tabs as they saw fit if you want to force me to put a number on it i would say a googolplex because no matter how advanced the internet gets it would be impossible for this game to ever hit even a sizeable fraction of that amount but it would really upset the people fighting against infinity.
in wow you have a reagent bank 98 slots that could hold up to 200 items per slot, that is 19600 items in just that tab, which would take ~190 diablo characters to hold all those runes
It can be taken as a sign that they know people will buy multiple copies of the game if they want to have more than 20 characters. It’s really not hard to have more than 20 characters if you play normal and hc — not to mention new ladder seasons. I’ve got 5 level 90+ already and we’re two months in. Am i expected to delete all of my old characters once a new ladder season starts so that I have space on my account to make new characters? A saved character file takes almost no space at all. Give me a break. This has nothing to do whatsoever with infinite stash space. It’s a money grab, plain and simple.
i mean that’s just it isn’t it, technically the only thing stopping people from having infinite stash space is 30$ per account atm. Doesn’t sound like blizzard saying they don’t want people to have it just that Bobby would put a price tag on air you breath while playing their games if he could. He has to get the money to pay off all his secret settlements somewhere.
I’m not going to disagree with this perspective, either. That’s exactly what people will do if they want increased space… so in essence, they’ve already given you the ability to pay to increase your stash, too.
In essence, them actually not limiting the amount of characters in D2R can also be taken as a sign that they aren’t putting limits on muling, either. So how many times do they have to tell you that they’re cool with giving you “infinite” stash?
They limited each account to 20 characters, did they not?
but you can have unlimited characters can you not?
If you decide to buy multiple accounts, sure. Spend away, dude.
or i can just ask them for a QoL change for something that is already in the game and give us infinite storage in a central place.
Sure, you can keep doing that. Doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, though.
I’m not telling you that you cannot ask, I’m simply pointing out the facts and logic that they haven’t done so already in 4 separate iterations of the game’s release, and it’s likely not going to happen.
By all means, continue to ask if that’s how you wish to spend your time.
and it’s fine for you to incorrectly believe that 4 versions of diablo games have not had infinite stash and shouting about it on forums but you can waste your time doing that as well
I’m not “shouting” about anything, I’m logically explaining to you the facts of the matter.
I don’t consider that to be a waste of time, because it helps others to understand the facts and how the game works, rather than being misled by campaigns of misinformation like the one you’re trying to convey.
spreading fallacies is not explaining facts but thanks for trying i suppose.
So, please “enlighten” me here, which part of this is “fallacy”?
d1 doesn’t have a stash period unless you mod it.
d2 had infinite stash through the ability to have infinite characters with 1 cd key
d3 and d2r both have infinite stash through by buying more accounts though i will admit it’s pointless in d3 as you can’t trade items between accounts so lets count that as 1 game
so 1/4 have stashes that aren’t able to be infinite.
but i’ll even give you d1 and d2r as not having infinite stash because sure whatever that still leaves d2/d2lod you could always have any amount of characters you want with 1 cd key meaning you had infinite stash in that game from day 1
That’s a lot of mental gymnastics to try and explain why D2R should have infinite stash.
How bout we just agree to disagree and you can stop calling the facts “fallacy”, OK?
well once you stop calling your lies facts i will i am fine with that.
though the fact remains of all the diablo games with stashes d2r lets you hold the least amount of items with 1 cd key.
You want to know the #1 way to reduce relogging? Give us a way to view the personal stashes of all characters from any character. That way we can see what item is on which character instead of having to jump from character to character trying to remember which one had that one thing we’re looking for.
Diablo 3 had this ability during its RMAH days, though it was only actually usable when bringing up the AH interface. Even PoE lacks this in-game. Oh sure you can check your PoE characters on the website, when it works (which is hardly ever), but can’t do so in-game. D2R has quite a few opportunities to continue to one-up PoE. Might even force GGG to finally innovate again instead of resting on its laurels while ignoring accessibility (a common theme with Asian run/owned games and companies).
Indeed. Not sure what the upper limit is on characters for offline mode, but lack of a PlugY equivalent in offline mode really hurts the game in the long run. I like the shared stashes online as they really help with muling and multi-character crafting, but that pathetic character limit really hurts. Even PoE’s default number of free slots is greater than D2R’s, and D2R is a paid game, not a freemium game.
