1 + 1 = 2. There are people who play hardcore only, so why wouldnt there be someone content on going the long route? You CAN find a zod/ber/jah on a druid, it just takes much longer than everyone else. Play the game the way you wish whether you are being honest or trolling just bc that’s what ppl do here. I’m not here to judge, but if you have an enigma/infinity/cta etc etc, chances are you did not single handedly farm that on druid. It’s not rationalizing its math. If you have a broken arm, chopping wood for the fire that warms your house will be incredibly difficult. Take that person what, 2x… 3x as long? They’ll be in pain afterwards bc no option.
But you might enjoy your enigma SS main that you farmed all on the SS, bc some ppl enjoy pain. Probably why you are likely trolling me/this post bc you enjoy fleshing out others pain. In reality you are in pain (too) that’s why you’ll continue bc misery enjoys company. Every hateful angry human I’ve ever known just pushes that onto others, bc none of us want to be truly alone. And those individuals are, despite families/kids. They just create that loop for those in their lives if leaving isnt an option (i.e. marriage or financial reasons like a job etc). Feels like you’ve really been talking about yourself all this time. While I’d just like there to be legit SS community again.
I agree they should teleport, it would likely make them a bit too strong/safe in both PvE and PvP, due to the added life teleporting shapeshifted in PvE would be very safe. At the same time in PvP while the class is F tier versus casters if we could tele it would easily be S tier, would it be more overpowered than other S tier PvP builds? Maybe not, but it would definitely be a huge bump in PvP.
The issue of mobility is real and needs to be addressed, it has already been suggested multiple times: add passive FRW to lyncantrophy, that way at least shapers can catch up to the party without teleporting
All right, but what about a situation where Beast ends up being a pre buff for every character because they can now cast spells while in shapeshifted form? Looking forward to that hammerbear.
Werebear is my primary character; has been ever since the druid was added to the game. I have never felt the desire or need to use Enigma or Teleport, and your analogies are ridiculously overblown.

Rather than comparing shapeshifters not being able to teleport to women not being able to vote in early America, it’s more like a person suffering from a stroke is not allowed to drive.
The druid can use teleport. He loses this ability only when he lets go of his sanity and becomes a furious beast.
It’s not about who he is, but what condition he is in.
I dont know if people know this, but there is a LOT of gameplay to be played BEFORE someone gets an Enigma. I get that’s basically regarded as a requirement for all classes for end game gear, but a big portion of this game can be played without Enigma.
Does barbarian not get similar life? My forced temporary character has everything the bear does + more. Barbs dont even need teleport, they have leap! Not quite as good via walls.
But you have to realize everything you said about safety and tankiness- it applies currently to barb. Barbs have better damage than maul, utility/shouts, they have innate mobility already, AND can TP with enigma? So… how by your definition of too strong are barbs not too strong?
My barb is tougher. Bears might get slightly more life, but they cannot get the insane defense ratings a barb can have. There is something called effective health rating in other games, ex- 10 life is worth way more than 10 life if you dodge/evade/reduce damage via armor/resistance. Barbs literally get 500% or more from skills without gg gear. It’s quite nuts. Bears might hit 300? Max with GG gear.

This isnt Jeckle & Hyde… druids are lucid masters of the natural world. It’s how they understand magic and can command/speak to animals. Tapped into things that me like smash barbarian will never understand.
Yet somehow barbs can get as much life, more armor, and have 2x the utility + can TP/leap? So I guess the bear is only good at parlor magic tricks compared.
