Because when techs cannot fix something they just restore to a previous shadow copy or former point in time when things were known to be working.
My guess if they can’t fix the issue quickly, you will get a rollback instead.
Oh come one… are you kidding me? If I loose my items again, I am out of this crappy game!
Crashes 5-10 times per day… rollback chars each weekend. Are you playing jokes here? We paid money for this!

Well, as long as this keeps happening, no ladder can be started.
It is kinda embarassing for Blizzard to be honest. Hopefully ladder can be started in about 2 weeks from now.

I’m one of the more patient and understanding folks, but having the exact same issue over and over is becoming ridiculous. Benefit of the doubt only goes so far.

I know you to busy with other stuff like the lawsuit and all, but please can you try and fix this.
IM SURE EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE BUT I WILL BE SET BACK ABOUT 2-5 LEVELS AND LOOSE A LOT OF ITMES.

I did not attempt to play yesterday because I was busy visiting Grandma, I am glad because if I tried to play yesterday morning and got a rollback, then I did the same this morning and happen to get a rollback again I would probably quit or be pretty close.
I’ve given Bliz the benefit of the doubt many times, however they are going to start losing some loyal fanbois soon if this keeps on becoming the norm. For someone who works 40-60 hours a week, and have minimal times to play, and then on those minimal times being unable to play and even worse losing all progress… yep hard to stay on this ship.

It’d be fantastically funny if around the same time every day a random Larzuk quest is chosen and one of the 1d6 results is the server crashing. That is, it’d be funny if that isn’t what this is starting to feel like. 
I’m probably one of the few that might benefit from a slight rollback as I had just rolled the most craptacular pair of blood boots one could possibly get (1% life leech, no FR/W, no resists, and heal stam+ when I’m equipped with a freaking Harmony that gives me 800 stam via the Vigor aura.
my dudes are gone too. i thought this was a thing from the past.
and once again i seems to affect me, but none of my friends

They owe you noting. It is beyond me, why people are freaking out that much. It is apparent that this game is not in a good condition right now. Ladder will start in a couple of weeks when everything is fixed. THEN players can put in 1000+ hours.
Lol thinking Blizz will actually put any effort. Don’t expect a ladder before early 2022
