Separate Strict Remaster and Modern Realms in D2R

“I don’t like changes so let’s ruin it for everybody that does, and force them to play the game like how I envision it”

Apparently making changes = “ruining” the game now. Hilariously close-minded.

The sort of changes you are asking for, yes.

Frankly, your ideas are bad and would ruin the game. Please refresh your memory about the product you purchased by visiting the main page and reading it. Classic gameplay—the same Diablo II you know and love, preserved.

First of all, when you made your post, you were referring to changes asked by everyone, and was not directed towards my changes.

Sure, you can disagree with my ideas. But don’t try to pretend you weren’t saying that ANY change would ruin the game, which was your post’s original interpretation.

Wrong. You can’t speak for me, so don’t attempt to. I am not against all changes asked by everyone, I’ve even suggested a few changes. I am against bad changes which would degrade the game.

Can I ? Are you allowing that now?

I’m not pretending.

How would this apply if there were two separate realms including one without changes? How can the strict remaster realm be ruined by changes since it lacks changes?

Listen listen listen, this is how PLoot should be done (basically just the same as WoW).

There should be options in the options menu for PLoot filters. You select if you want rares, set items, or uniques.

When an unidentified unique or set item drops in a Baal run, a little menu pops up and you can select Don’t need, Need, or roll. Whoever selects Need will get the item, if more than one person selects Need, they roll for it. If someone selects Roll and every else selected Don’t need, the Roll gets it. For everything else like socketable, ethereal, white items, magic rings, they drop as usual - on the ground.

There’s no need for talk of PLoot giving out more items or being useless. There should just be an option in the game room creation to enable or disable PLoot.

lol It’s ok Vechain. I didn’t force anyone to do anything. It was the original Diablo II Blizzard team’s vision to make the game the way it is now, and they didn’t force you to play it either.

If you want to play on modded fan-fiction D2r servers where small minorities of dudes go because they for whatever reason like the idea of Corruption or Personal Loot or Firebolt hitting as hard as meteor, just wait awhile and I’m sure you’ll get what you want.

Oh and also, I noticed that 90% of your responses to other forum users are completely sarcastic in nature. It looks like ignorant hoo-ha which people will generally ignore. If you want to push an agenda of getting other forum users to understand your “vision” of what D2r should be so that they agree with you and also begin to voice for similar changes so that those changes might actually happen, you’re going to need to drop that sarcastic approach and start providing actual statements with factual & knowledgeable discussion behind it. Pure sarcasm will only land you in a position where you have a bad forum reputation.

I would be against it, I don’t like splitting the player base officially. It devalues the power/prestige of my progression compared to others.

But if it happened, I’d probably play both.

I don’t have to speak for you. Your post, which is clearly written in text on internet, does so already. Get over it.

LOL that’s how I know you didn’t even attempt to play the modded game. Please don’t share your opinion on modding or changes unless you’ve actually tried it. Thanks. Until then, no one cares what you have to say.

No - I don’t want separate realms because developing it will siphon resources away from other projects.

Let Diablo 2 be Diablo 2. Diablo 4 is still in development - there’s a place you can hope for all these changes to occur (although I want it to be a lot more like D2 than D3).

You guys like no changes so much, why not just ask Blizzard team to enhance Vanilla D2’s graphics and have u guys play that?

add some small QoL and you just described D2R my guy lol.

I literally stated myself that I’ve never played modded D2 variants.

Some things you don’t need to test run to know that it will be broken.

Claiming that someone would need “test run” Corruption mod to see if 6os unique bases essentially turning into hacked Ith weapons would be balanced or not, is actually the most assward thing to date that I’ve seen anyone say in this forum.

No, I mean on top of Vanilla. Let Blizz make further changes, and you guys just get the graphical update for Vanilla. Win-win for both parties.

Well yea I suppose so, why not? I’m in a happy mood today.

You lack reading comprehension. I never referred to changes asked by everyone. Don’t attempt to speak for me. Get over it, you don’t understand.
