Q. Is there a possibility that skills with low preference such as Amazon’s Evasion Bug, Necromancer’s Poison Dagger, and Druid’s Summon will be adjusted?
As the current biggest goal is to faithfully implement the original look, there are no plans to adjust the mentioned skills. If the balance is adjusted later, the meta will be able to diversify. I don’t intend to make all the skills good. We are looking at Amazon’s evasion bug.

Too lazy to look at the rest, but Micro has a running thread link to all the interviews, and some of the earliest post Blizzcon stuff they were saying balance changes can be made after launch, if players should want them.

Ya i only saw similar quotes like this. “we have no plans to fix D2” “we have no plans to balance anything” “we arent making changes beyond QoL” ect ect.
So clearly zero chance of balancing pre-launch. But good to know there’s still the possibility of balancing the crap skills post-launch, and im assuming on a separate realm. I’d like to say it gives me hope, but that extremely vague ‘sure, maybe, if players want’, doesn’t exactly scream “its gonna happen” to me. But we’ll see.
I’m fine with 1.14 as the default option. But on launch, when there’s nothing new, then some of us will leave anyways. Just because something has a new skin, doesn’t mean there’s anything really new to explore.
If you’re going to leave because there’s ‘nothing new’ you’ll leave anyways.
Casual d2 players aren’t going to suddenly become diehards because of a few balance changes.
Don’t wreck it for the rest of us. (A separate realm is fine, but I’m specifically talking about paint over changes, which a lot of advocates for change think is okay.)
That latest patch came out not that long ago. New players aren’t going to be getting a traditional experience, they’re basically getting a new game. The latest patch wasn’t even created by the original developers.
They introduced power creep a long time ago. This needs an update. We are up to 400% enhanced damage which is way too much, they have an opportunity to scale back. I’ve never liked the idea of 50k damage. It’s ridiculous. Some outdated items need some TLC balances too.
PS : The game was already wrecked when patch 1.10 came out for some people. So suggesting that people don’t wreck something is basically an insult. We had more fun before power creep came along and butchered most of the game. That being said, I’m fine with alternate realms.
