Since the Warlock update (I have not purchased it yet) there has been sever hitching/stuttering while playing completely offline. This issue is similar to the brief ‘pause’ when identifying things with Cain but this issue is 5 times worse. It happens randomly while fighting monsters, when coming out of a waypoint, and most of all EVERY time you level up it does this stutter/hitch/freeze for about 1 second.
Since the Warlock update it’s been occuring about 10 times an hour. This should not be an issue because it didn’t exist until the update. It almost makes it unplayable because I’ve played this game offline since release with ZERO issues.
Please fix this (I’m on the base ps5)

I noticed the same issue. Just finished the Normal play with HC offline character. Started the game on Nightmare, it asked for the update (Warklock DLC) and during the play it freezes at least once per minute for few miliseconds, which is really annoying when fighting group of monsters, but it happens even when you just walk around. Playing ps4 version.

Reviving thread to note here as well that this is now compounding into something even worse with the recent hotfixes for everything else.
Entire UI glitches and crashes anytime this bug otherwise occurs. So not only does the entire game stutter- your entire UI blanks and reloads too. If IDing or cubing manually that means it takes you fully out of inventory screens, blanks the UI like hitting Alt+Z in WoW, and then resets and reloads it while sending the controller game cursor flying somewhere random.
Literally unplayable now. This is what happens when you ignore real bugs blizz! They get worse!!!

The game freezes for 1 second at random times. It’s unplayable!
My friends on a standard PS5 and XBOX are having the same problem.
Everything was fine before the Warlock Update. Please fix what you’ve broken, because it’s unplayable.

I’ve been playing Diablo 2 Resurrected since launch, and it’s been running great!
After purchasing the Watlock DLC, the game started randomly lagging for 1 second every minute. This makes the game very difficult to play.
However, the latest update caused constant stuttering! The screen goes black, and graphical artifacts appear! It’s unplayable!
The problem affects both the On-Line and Off-Line games. Off-Line seems to have more stutters! I play on a PS5 Pro, but my friends are having the same issues on a standard PS5 and Xbox!
Please fix this.
EDIT:
I’ve tried playing with VRR enabled, with VRR disabled, and with the internet cable disconnected, but it doesn’t help. The game is at fault!

It’s not the ROTW Warlock patch. The game ran fine all week until the patch the day before ladder started. Whatever they did in that patch messed the game up.
it was the patch on Thursday that broke the game.

Not true. After purchasing the Warlock DLC, the game started to freeze every few minutes.
But after the last update, stutters appear more often and other graphical problems appear.

They still not fixed yet??? OMG I payed for the game in 2021, and now I PAYED AGAIN for the expansion, and can’t play because they broke the game and don’t fix it, come on Blizzard, I want to play the game, fix it now!

same on PS4 Pro.. after buying DLC screen went dark every few minutes and when identifying items (Cain or wirh scrolls) but after patch I still can see screen but UI reloads.. it is so annoying.. my guess it is something with either Loot Filter or Chronicle.. I hope they can fix this soon

Same here (PS5), also when you „Save & Quit“ you see your dead body and potions with items on the ground
