no it is not a good enough argument - this is your opinion you even say “for me” it does not effect gameplay for you at all , who can click the fastest/use automation is not gameplay. You do not know the definition of QoL
You can still play the game as you like with Ploot. you can just Organise. Your. Game. Sessions. Better. don’t hate the player hate your own lack of management skills - simple. go play d2lod
but they wont because they will be the people who were crying to ploot, they won’t go back to FFA, they will want the system to change again to suit their new “issue”
The people advocating for Timed Allocation understands how it works and do not consider the scenario you described an issue. It would be working exactly as intended.
of course they do, right up until the point that a HR which a really low drop rate drops and they can’t click it and it’s probably the only one they’ll ever see actually drop…
What the plooters don’t want to admit or won’t accept, is the massive and staggering number of refunds Blizzard would be forced to issue if they implemented ploot.
Once ploot is put in the game, even as a toggle, they have changed the classic gameplay into an option. Thereby no longer preserving the original gameplay. The plooters erroneously believe that adding a toggle isn’t changing the classic gameplay. It obviously is because they just changed it with a toggle. This nuanced point is lost on most of them.
It would be the end. It’s bad enough they took TCP/IP out. Watch them add ploot and the game just implode.

[/quote]so u say FFA= for me…great. and mayby u wanna go read what is Qol actually and if u do not bother to learn those 2 things then it’s better to play D3 =D
Define OK? Nobody is saying this is a life or death matter, regardless of whether you want FFA or PL.
So I would live on
It would be bad for the game not to add it though, and thus bad for me as a potential player. In that pure gameplay sense I would not be okay without it.
Like it’s been bad for the original, that has lasted over 20 years and spawned a remaster due to it’s enormous success? I’m not following your logic. Also, don’t give strawman answers. Nobody said life or death.
You are correct, all of these posts here are people opinions, even your reply.
Ignore automation or other cheats, we are not here to talk about game abusing 3rd party mechanics.
Making game easier for yourself to get personal loot in a party play is a change that gives you personal gain/advantage over others, so how is that a quality of life change? Unless you think quality of life means ‘‘make it easier for me to play this game’’?
But it does, I have already expressed my issue with it.
Exactly! I am very happy with current drop/loot distribution and agreed rules of loot sharing with people I play with. For me I don’t need a change, it is for people like you who are grieving about being salty because some assassin has clicked faster than you and left the game without sharing the loot.
What about when you click faster than other players and get the main loot of the run? Do you feel bad about it? Does it make you sad and filled with the feel of injustice and utter disgust? Or you just showcase your item to the party and ask if they want it or you can keep it? By using new SHIFT+CLICK feature? Or are you filled with greed and suddenly you become the the villain of coop play you have despised so much?
Don’t play with people like that who are untrustworthy. Don’t play with assassins, amazons, make rules and other restrictions, that is what I mean by managing your games.
True. You didn’t specify. So I just wanted to make clear that was not what I was saying.
Not sure how that is relevant. A flawed game can be highly successful and last forever after.
Just saying this would be a small but useful improvement for many players. Resulting in what could be called a better game.
What does it say? That I am very skeptical on Blizzards ability to deliver a good D2R and reserve the right to jump out if they make another WC3R. If so, yes.
If you are a blind follower of Blizzard who follows them no matter what, that is not my problem.
Even though I am for an auto allocate toggle, yes, I’d be fine. It wouldn’t effect my choice to play the game at all. I still play Diablo II… I played last night.
Let’s not pretend the masses have been flocking to Diablo 2 for the last 20 years. It hasn’t been “fine”, it’s just what the game had when Blizz stopped updating it.
Classic gameplay would be preserved, it just won’t be mandated. You do know what preserved means, right? Preserving something doesn’t mean it will be forced on everyone. Besides, the FFA say that most people want FFA loot. If that’s the case then most people will make games with FFA loot toggled on and you have nothing to worry about.
If the person wasn’t around when the mob that you killed drops a HR, then they aren’t eligible for the drop. This is in the description of “Idea 1”. Nobody has suggested a person who didn’t help kill a mob get’s to roll on the loot it drops.
It wasn’t supposed to be a debate, it was supposed to help people understand what was meant by ploot. The FFA crazies who can’t read turned it into a debate.
Then don’t join their games. Make your own games with FFA looting.
How is that different to a HR dropping and having someone pick it up because they happened to be next to it when the mob died?
The last poll they did showed this “massive” amount to be about 7%.
Thus preserving classic gameplay for those that want it and giving an option for those who don’t. You get what you want, others get what they want.
