it needs all 3 spirits and vines too. The spirits are not that good; and having all 3 only benefit the summoner while not benefitting Wind at all.

Like Dbruski said yesterday on his summoner druid video. They need to let us summon both spirits, oak and wolverine and at least one pack of wolves plus the bear.
Is the only way to make this spec viable for hell without in need of insane end game gear.

Agreed. That or 1 spirit but all 3 main summons which I would prefer.
They’re close to finally making the summoner a real class on its own but they’re not there yet.
Not sure why they’re hesitating as there is 0 chance that would upset balance.
If their worry is hybrid builds where the druid gets the best of every tree then there are ways to force trade offs. Like for example you cant summon all 3 main summons at the same time unless you invest 70 hard points into the tree.
That would force players to commit to the summon build and if they invested the remaining 30 points into another tree well that tree would only be strong enough to serve as support to the summons and nothing more.
Druids can now summon all minions at once! The dream is realized! Here are the latest PTR notes:
