I was playing today and had a blackout here, when the energy returned a logged into the game and my offline character was gone. I created another character and my shared stash is still, all the files of my lost character are in the saved games D2R folder and if I try to create another offline character with the same name of the character that disappeared the game says that there is already a character with that name. Anyone knows how to fix that?
Sry to tell you there is no fix. When your pc crashes while you are playing your character save file gets corrupted. You can’t play this character anymore. That’s the reason why you should make backups from your save files.
If you can’t enter a new game with another character your shared stash file is corrupted too. Than you have to delete your shared stash save file to play again.
I hope you made backups.
