also cat 2 is “left” cat 3 is random
( that guide is for path of diablo which cat 3 is removed, which is why it says cat 2 is random on it, its not, only cat 3 is)
but everything else remains the same
For Durance, I can tell you with 100% certainty exactly what the stairs-down-to-three room will look like and its orientation based on the look and orientation of the waypoint room. Every time. 100% certainty.
This doesn’t mean its position on the map will be the same / be in the same “go left” direction (though it certainty does predict that the vast majority of the time).
But for example, if your character must walk away from the waypoint facing the NW direction, then the stairs-down room will always be the horseshoe shaped room that you walk into facing the SW direction.
what oO just because youre unable to do it doesnt mean others cant lmao
i always use the red eyes to find him, takes me max 4 teleports to know where nila is. youre just bad when it comes to this, no need to call other people liars just because u are incapable…
Try it yourself. You can prove me wrong with a single map showing the waypoint room oriented one way (as your character would walk away) and the stairs-down room oriented not exactly 90 degrees to the left. IE: As stated, if you must walk away from the waypoint by walking NW, you must approach the stairs down room by walking into it in a SW orientation (and this particular combination is always the horseshoe / U-shaped room). Show me one time that this isn’t the case.
Keeping in mind of course that you must understand the difference between a room’s orientation and its position which I take it you don’t both given your mental capacity and your above quotation.
This is the same argument as why superior items make better imbues than cracked/normal bases, they don’t, a new item is generated as the base. It’s based on a random number generator, just like the maps.
Here is a video I found that that doesn’t explain it’s for offline and when it gets to the Halls of Vaught section (To find Nihlathak), he is all over the place standing in front of every wall claiming it’s the way to go. He didn’t even give a first example yet claims there is a second one.
The walls with the eyes on it he stands in front of, would according to him be the direction the eyes are looking in, and not the direction of the wall itself. Plus there are eyes on 4 separate walls making it 100% impossible to know what direction to go in.
It’s these types of videos that irritate me because they only cause confusion, instead of helping anyone.
I am also not the only one calling out these types of videos as complete BS there are several people in the comments all saying similar things…
These were posted by someone else that I am quoting (THESE ARE NOT MINE)
2:51 The eyes are facing down so Nihlathak is supposed to be down not to the right as you
2:54 If there’s 2 map tiles here, he is in that direction. WHAT DIRECTION.
3:38 The eyes are facing right so according to what you said Nihlathak is on the right not down.
You cannot even get your directions correct never mind explain to anyone how to navigate through this.
For online games I suggest picking a direction move along the edges until you find the area or loop back to the start. I work the outer wall then move to the center shrinking the search time.
There are only 3 setups for Nihlathak and it’s never random and also pretty easy to spot the pattern. Even when already on the map with Nihlathak the eyes will 100% of the times tell you in which direction to move to him. Other stuff like Andariel, meph and countess have a lot of randomnesses that can be minimized a bit but Nihlathak is 100% not random.
