- Attack rating increased by 12%
- Increased base attack bonus to 40% (from 28%)
I believe the per level is 12%, as well as an additional jump from 28 to 40% as an initial level, but I could be reading it wrong (I don’t think I am, though).

I see. Well I interpret it my way, as 40 - 28 = 12. They also didnt write this line “12% increase” in Sword mastery. Probably they forgot. Sometimes they dont write exact patch notes.
But if they changed Weapon mastery from original 7% ar to 12% per level, now thats great news !!! Wish they changed Critical strike for Deadly strike to stack with items and therefore buff barb and bowazon damage.
Damn the waiting to test stuff is killing me
Yeah, we will see. I think you will be pleased with a 12% AR/level buff. Keep in mind that these patch notes were rushed out to the public because they were leaked and Blizzard had to get out in front of it. They are constantly editing them over there (they even had up that Act 3 mercs were losing firebolt but getting a redemption aura, which they have since removed because it wasn’t accurate). All that is to say, the exact verbiage will be changing over the next few days, and I think we will see 40% base AR with 12% per level on each of the weapon masteries.
With aoe added to leap attack, wouldn’t that just make warcry obsolete. Both do aoe physical dmg in a small radius but leap attack does way more damage. I think maybe warcry should get a bigger radius to make it an attractive alternative to the new leap attack.
I dont think so. Warcry is non-weapon dependand damage. Still would be best leveling skill for barb I think.
Warcry stuns which is much safer, then Leap attacking in middle of monster pack, getting smacked. And Warcry is fast, Leap attack takes a while to go in air and land, and reposition to jump again (since u cant jump on same target imidiately). But Leap attack have some theoretical potential - ±1000% enhanced damage is a lot on endgame weapons.
I say no issue with warcry. Lets see if Leap attack really can be a build on its own.
Good post mate, lot’s of good thoughts mostly agree with you, but would like to discuss some points with some different opinions
If it is a powerful skill with a cooldown, that makes frenzy/WW or other builds more powerful and versitile fighters (obviously sacrificing pts in utility skills like find item/BO etc) than S-tier. If you just stand there jumping up and down until everything is dead, than F-tier (I want to see more complex, rewarding, and strategic combat mechanics)
Armageddon is already an A-tier skill in my books. Trust me, if you know how to play fire druid already, these will make fire druid much more powerful… Casual fire druids struggle with survivability and so are afraid to telestomp big packs… But if you telestomp big packs, armageddon wrecks them…
I’m really disappointed with this change. If copying what PD2 and PoD did, or making the summon druid play like “a summon necro with furries” is their solution, then why did we pay Blizzard $40 USD or $70 AUD to copy paste ideas from other designers? Would rather they make D2R mod-friendly, then people who prefer “Zoo Druid” can play that style in one of those mods. In D2R, this change throws out PvP balance, makes poison creeper/spirit of barbs irrelevant, and reduces build diversity or creativity (no point getting creative if birds/wolves/bears all synergise each other and meta-tactic is to cast them all at once). F-tier change in my books…
Yes, strongly agree… A3 merc is so close to greatness (for example, I love the static merc on many builds). His biggest problem in my experience is survivability as he cannot leech life from his spells… Devs need to improve this badly, otherwise he is impossible to use without teleport or summons to tank for him. Ironically, summon druid changes might help fix this problem.
Annis need to hold their value and be worth something… They are an incredibly powerful item, +1 all skills to any class, +attributes, + resistances, it needs to be hard to obtain… Selling SoJ’s is synonymous with this and part of Diablo’s rich history and story over the years… There will be plenty of D-clone spawn events, just join one of the Diablo Clone Hunting Discord servers, and you will get announcements from people who hunt D Clone, it is actually really exciting and fun, and rewarding to finally catch D Clone . B-tier or A-tier change

To Leap attack: I think it should be a skill to be used 90% of time, same you use Frenzy, Whilrwind, Concentrate, Berserk. If not, there is no point having such skill in skilltree. Just remove it and have regular Leap with utility effects. And continue to invest in your regular combat skills i mentioned above.
To Armageddon: fair enough.
To Summon druid: Its kinda invest heavy skill tree I agree. More flexibility would be better. I would like to see a synergy between Spirit wolf - Arctic blast. To use arctic blast from safety line behind minions and to do something not just wait for summons to kill.
To Iron wolf: both agree its weakest of mercs in 2.4. But we should not overlook that they indeed improved mercs a lot and now dual-wield Act 5 merc can rival Act 2. I think if Act 3 will get another love after first Ladder is OK for me.
To Uber Diablo: I agree that Anni should be hard to obtain. But I disagree with its current way. All it does is elevate SoJ prices to Sur rune each. While it is Vex rune worth ring like BulKhatos. Stupid design and I won’t change my mind around it. I think those who organize such events will feel even bad when they had to collect valuable SoJs, while someone who did not invest a single SoJ could get Annihilus - this is opposite of what you said about “it needs to be hard to obtain”.
Does it really? That is hilariously bad. I hope that is mentioned in a tooltip somewhere.
I was imagining a level 35 fire golem having level 70 aura. I was going to be greatly disappointed trying it out
Bwuahaha. I was always reading “S” as a bad word for poo, thinking maybe they meant it was the worst?
I never can tell. Some people use the term “broken” for something that actually works really well. I guess I am just not updated on the latest lingo.

Nope. You have to dig deep into the game files for it. Or someone calculated the cap somehow back in the old days idk. But it is the state of Sparky. I actually came across this info in old diablofans forum.
Controller/console should be able to
Toggle off auto display of item text when items drop and when you are standing near them. Ruins immersion and gameplay and makes people turned off from the game as well.
You could make your own topick. Don’t need to comment everywhere about your problem.
This was a topic regarding changes ranked from good to bad and I added a much needed change for PTR in the ptr section of the forums. Your trying too hard.
