That isn’t true in regards to 1H weapons being faster than 2H weapons. Take a thunder maul (2H weapon, 20 WSM) and legendary mallet (1H weapon, 20 WSM) for example.

What part of “fast 1h” did you miss?

But yes, they did severely nerf and slow down the maximum attack rate of werebears

Rob Gallerani says the werebear speed nerf was intentional because they wanted the bear to be the strong, tanky, unstoppable wereform while the werewolf would be the fast, nimble wereform.

These developers are clueless. They took a underpowered niche build and made it worse. Killing unique builds in the process. They also butchered werewolf and the only saving grace of the shapeshifting changes was the last minute Fury buff…

They are making underperforming melee builds more gear dependant while still keeping them underperforming.

Dual spirit hammerdin and Blizzard Sorc are the benchmarks by which all melee builds should be judged. If your end game geared character (not BIS) can’t keep pace with entry level geared casters then there is a problem.
