Being that there is no voice chat in D2R, WoW has it but I don’t know of anyone who uses it, OW already has non stop toxic people on voice where I have voice and chat comms off by default, SC 1-2 doesn’t have voice then I am not worried about these 12 yr old kids since I don’t use any game voice chat except Discord for WoW but only join my guilds discord.
It’s good news. Change has to happen. Maybe they’ll even actually reforge WC3 reforged Instead of pretending the game doesn’t exist

while this is true. it does not mean you actually own the game like u would say a car. even though you can sell physical your copies to others or say gamestop. this all changed back in 1998. now when you buying things like music movies or any software/games.
your buying the license to use the product not own it. thats even if you download it or have the physical copy. as for older software is probaly not effected by this change.
lets say i go to microcenter and buy the physical copy of adobe and win10 even though i can sell these i still do not own the actuall product itself. same goes for any kind of software or games, movies. or music ever since the change in 1998
downside to this change is the DRM side of it. which is even if you have the physical copy of it (more so for games) say like D2R if those severs go down forever you can no longer play it online. many game have you athenticat your games. D2R even to play offline from my understanding you need to athenticat your copy every 30 days. even if you cant athenticate a game just to play offline you will not beable to play it physical copy or not.
thats why sites like gog are around so you can get DRM-free games and not worry about those issues

I would say that nothing will happen till after June of next year when the deal is completed. There could still be a chance that it would fall apart and the sale not go through.

This is the best decision Activision Blizzard have done in those two years. Better servers and more funds will ensure their products being well-developed.

Bill gates money is very strong…expect future blizzard content to be extra extra shiny.
The question of it being an actual good game? Who knows we can only hope. But doing the rich people’s thing of throwing money at problems usually ends up pretty alright.
time will do that it is becoming increasingly difficult to run old software without jumping through more and more hoops.
