Prison is a totally different world, it’s not a school or a community based video game, and I can assure you no one would be smoking around me indoors if I was an inmate.

I wasn’t complaining, I was sharing my opinion on the problem. I too no longer trade and have not for almost 8 years.
It’s a different environment, but it’s the same lesson. If something ain’t worth fighting about, it’s not worth worrying about. All you can do is change your own actions.
Botting/hacking is Blizzards problem. Until they do something about it, then the players doing it are just playing the game. If they can get away with it, more power to’em.
It’s like watching boxing, and not being able to accept judges are bought. Or watching MMA and not thinking that every one that can get away with PEDs do it. It’s not our job the worry about what others are doing. Hell there isn’t even a prize involved.

That amuses me to no end. Sorry about shouting.
In fact, the entire community was influenced by hacks. This simply was part of the fun of D2. This game had a dynamic few other games had. It was and still is unrestricted and reflects the dynamic of the real world.
And still, there are whiny moralists running around, just like back in the days, proposing their fantasies. Remember, you are the ones too dumb to install hacks or to trade proper. Thats the reason you have to expand on haxx. And there are so much players out there, playing legit, outplaying you, honestly and legit, while you sit there and whine about maphacks, as you always did. Yeah sure, lets delete latest maphack, so I can compete.
Your problem seems to be that fists are the only way to fight.
There absolutely is a prize. I don’t trade anymore, which adds to the ladder challenge, which is great, I use to have a lot of fun trading. I’d get excited knowing that today is the day I’m going to trade some of this crap I don’t want or need for something I do want and need, which will make my character much stronger.

Ehh never been one for preventative laws myself. It’s like seatbelt laws… only time you really gotta wear one is when you see the lights flash. Too many damn laws and rules out there. And way too many stuck up people crying for more.

Nobody cared about TOS, and everybody was ok that Blizzard reaped on this. And then where the loud moralists. Too dumb to either hack, or bot or to trade.
