How do you fix this? I am about 4.5 hours with this error. When I make a new character and I try to go into a game it goes to black screen and I need to go to task manager to close program.

This is the error I receive when trying to join games on a new character:
9/23 15:40:29.178 [BGSChannelService/4] [<>:0]: Attempting to get members from unknown channel Lobby.
The black screen stays and I have to end task to close D2R.
Also, my existing character gets “Failed to enter game. This character is already in a game on the server. Please try again.”
I’ve tried to “Scan and repair” from the battle.net app but it said no repair needed. Any fixes for either of these issues yet?

Exact same issues, main char from the first hour says it’s already online, other chars have errors creating games and then get stuck on black screens when it goes through.
its server-side man. NOTHING you can do will fix it. All on their end.
Can’t they just turn all the server on and off again, jesus.

It was working before, now it’s a black screen every time I try to create or join a game.

Same problem too! Working fine yesterday and today but since 2 hours not able to join/create bc main caracter already in game. Black screen when I try to join a friend game with new caracter.

Tried an offline character, worked just fine. Online games, if you get past the error messages after trying several times, you just get a black screen. Have to task manager to end it, alt-f4 doesn’t even work

Hello i have the same issue. i do come in to wich character i want to play, but when i press play, or create a lobby ill get black screen and cant play D2R 
please help me
Updates for everybody,
The process we’re using to un stick characters is still running, but it’s gotten through a really big chunk of players. If your character is stuck online and it’s preventing you from playing games at this point, just try logging in again every 15-30 minutes. It should eventually let you in.
Again, we’re aware it’s not completely fixed for everybody just yet but I wanted to let you all know that it’s recovering and if you keep retesting periodically, you should eventually get in. I’ll let you know once we hear more.
Either way, we really appreciate everybody working with us over the last two days on this issue. Once you folks get back in, I sincerely hope you enjoy the game!

Same please “unlock” my character… its been hours… this is pathetic. Locked for 8 hours now… come on.

My character is still locked. It would be great if in your posts you acknowledge how one goes about making sure their character is in the list to unlock
