I lost my 2 weapons on my barb after I died. Couldnt retrieve the body so I logged out (as I had done many times before). When I logged in again to retrieve, my both weapons were lost, my Grief and lightsaber which are currently my best items…
I would want to report this bug and get those items back if possible.
If you leave the game and have multiple bodies on the ground, only one body is saved, and it’s always the one that has the highest total gold value on all of the items.
U gotta be kidding me.. but I was naked.. why I didn’t retrieve the items.. (I recovered everything except the 2 weapons..
Blizzard won’t do anything to restore your character or items. So unfortunately you’re out of luck there.
Doesn’t help you now, but in the future if you can’t pick up your body most likely due to str/dex reqs, you should have emptied your inventory a bit to pick them up..
Sucks for sure. Think virtually every d2 player has done it at least once in their lifetime. I know I lost a fully built char this way back in high school..

While it is disheartening to lose items that you worked hard to acquire, in the grand scheme of things, it’s just a game. We all make mistakes, all we can do is make the best that we can of it and learn from them.
yeah we’ve all done it. sucks to lose a grief. but its not a bug
it is a bit less of an issue in D2R as Str/dex bugging is harder to do so you are less likely to not be able to equip the items in 2 click, but its still doable.. especially if u accidentally pick up weapons off the ground before clicking on your body and then die again
