Lootfilter D2R online?

have blizzard confirmed if lootfilters are banneble online?

or will this never be directly addressed by blizzard?

if they would approve lootfilter it would be nice if they gave a short statment on this, and which lootfilters is “approved”.

adding more stach and inventory space, and allowing lootfilters would realy help the replayabillity of this game, in my opinion.

You can be about 100% assured that a lootfilter in use will be banned. Anything that interacts with the game and/or the servers is what breaks the TOS. A loot filter by some 3rd party would be no different than the old Mousepad Maphack

Really I honestly do not know why a lootfilter is needed. I think for whatever reason the idea of loot filters got popular with the younglings so they ask for it in every game. D2 does not have one, never will have one, and if you install one you can expect your account to go away. IMO just experience alone gives you a loot filter on what is garbage and what to look at. If it is consuming too much time to pick up a Royal Shield to see if resists are 40+, then D2 may not be the game for some.

hello mister old man

well, sure, thats your opinion - but it doesen’t make it the right opinion. Personally, i’d like the game to have plenty of players of all ages. if you want a game tailores only to yourself, that’s fine - just play it without a loot filter. you can still do that even if lootfilters are available.

And as you said,”youngling” - even though i’m 42 and have been playing this game since the day it launched. i still prefer a loot filter, and so do most players. Gatekeeping is never good for any game; it only drives communities away until the game fades, like old memories— like old people…

Loot filters are needed because some items don’t get displayed when a ton of loot drops on the ground. This happens to me when I pop the chests in arcane in players 8 games.

99% of the time that’s just because of gold and you can just walk over it to get rid of it.

Even without the issue of item limit, a loot filter would make the game way more comfortable.

Name color is meant to make sifting through items faster, but between the need for white/grey bases, magic items that can include charms, rare items, uniques, sets, there’s not really a single one you can skip checking, meaning you need to look at every single item name, even if it’s just a quick glance to see “potion” and focus your gaze on the next one.

The focus of the game is supposed to be on combat and exploration, not on sifting through junk.

So a loot filter would be a very good addition, though I think it would be better to have one that you can significantly personnalize than a one size fits all.

first off, while i dont use a lootfilter in d2:R
i absolutely would love to. if blizzard ever let us. and from what ive read here in the past blizzard doesn’t seem to be taking action against them if its only the lootfilter.

still as much as i would love to. not going to breach TOS

they are INSANELY helpful.
they cause way less eye strain.
they dont modify drops in any way.
all the does is declutter the worthless items from the ground and make it a much more clean

this coupled with the fact that d2 which was only originally designed 640x480 was and can only display around 32 item names on the ground at once

if you have ever been in an 8 player cows game u know this means some items wont display even if u hold alt.

a loot filter is an absolute necessity for any modern game. and not having it added in this game is shameful

i 100% agree with this. i think its time blizzard gave us, atleas the minimum amount of felxebility ot improve game play if they are done with the game, and just resetting every season..

i feel this is a great argument. i think blizzard should strive to make all games more accesseble for every one, and these arguments highligts just that. also a loot filter can help people learn the game, which in turn make more ppl love the game.

and if they dont want just any lootfilter, then do like PD2 where they have a list of loot filters that you can select, that are “pre approved” by blizz.

I have very rarely ever had issues like this. That said, you can use the controller item spacing which spreads drops out and makes them easier to see with ctrl and easier to click on. I think that’s all you’re going to get.

Filter???

No way, not now!

give it a rest, and go live in your cave.

ppl like you are the reason why d2 is dying.

lootfilters can help the game, so unless you have anythin productive to say then, goodbye.

Please do use your lootfilter, I strongly encourage you to try it. Enjoy

lots of people use loot filters online and don’t get banned. you must not be as aware as you think you are.

if they aren’t banning botters, they aren’t banning loot filters, and we know they aren’t banning bots so…. ya. i dunno how you’re standing on the side of the fence of “if you cheat you get banned” because that isn’t necessarily true.

I am not saying that, I am saying enjoy your loot filter, have fun with it. Nothing more.

You bore me.

how about growing up and joining a conversation like an adult?

wait i guess you are incapable of rasonal thought. whising harm or giving harmfull advise to other because they wish for or asks for an feture in a game that would be totaly optional to use, empisises how sad you are…

godbye, i’m done with you.
