Maybe he has eight friends that are ok with him using their accounts when they aren’t on.
I’m also on the fence with whether this is P2W as well. People might do the same for mule. Are they P2W for having mule accounts? Am I P2W for having a more expensive computer or internet connection that plays the game smoother and more stable with less disconnects?
Having extra accounts in game is allowed and we see people do it in a few different ways. I don’t knot know if I would consider purchasing extra game clients as P2W any more than I would people running buff bots in MMOs.

I’ve been multiboxing D2 for about 5-6 years now. I still do it on D2LoD ladder every season. I don’t care how other people feel about it. I like not needing or depending on other players in order to advance in end game - I’m not a big fan of being a part of video game team play, though playing on ladder is my favourite way to play. I don’t care if my solo 8 player grind up the 90s is keeping up with highly organized teams.

They might not…most probably they are. Using process explorer to kill a routine meant to check for multiple instances is banable. Setting up a reliable virtual environment implies having a subscription. Running them on physical machines is cumbersome and much more expensive than virtualization.
These are the 3 ways that you can multibox. The most within reach for the average user, using process explorer is banable. The other two are not.
Still this doesn’t change the fact /p8 will never come to Battlenet.
People that use process explorer to multibox are getting banned.

How about not trying to cut corners, when it’s so easy to split mf in order to take advantage of the increased ‘no drop’ chance that playing in high number of players games offers you.

P8 should be allowed to all, not just those who pay for it. Absolutely wrong and disgusting. Worse yet these individuals fight hard to keep their paid for edge away from good honest players.
