I don’t care who calls it P2W or not. Not my problem. Nobody “wins” anything and truth be told, nobody give a flying (&@&#* what anyone else loots.

That said, if you’re looking for “official statement” to the degree some want, then you won’t find it. Blizzard INTENTIONALLY doesn’t make it crystal clear so that they can do what they want.

It’s been made clear enough though: No software or hardware stuff to let you control multiple accounts at once. You can alt-tab to each one and control them individually, and that’s all.

People look for any and every way to manipulate what Blizz has said on this because they are trying to overcomplicate it to find loopholes.

I don’t care what you do, but if you load multiple accounts and have them running scripts, using some kind of software, or stringing together contraptions on multiple keyboards and mice, then you do so at your own risk.

Anything that does that (inputting keystrokes a single time which control multiple accounts simultaneously as though they were a single account) will result in a ban.

Dont let those against /X and ploot hear you

In any shared online experience there is an element of status and competition. Nobody pays people to level their offline characters, etc. People do that in online play so they can have the status that comes along with GG gear. You may laugh at this and pretend it all away, but again, it’s proven by the fact that nobody pays for offline characters to be leveled up.

Also, the ladder is literally a competition with ranks.

You can only have one character per account in a game at once afaik so you have to have multiple accounts to do what you’re asking, at least without circumventing blizzard systems.

Haha, I don’t give crap if they hear it or not. The whining about this game all around is hilarious.

I’ve never seen anyone pay to level offline characters; you’re right about that. They don’t just /players 8 it either though. They use a character editor put the level where they want it.

I realize there is an element of status and competition in many people’s heads. But let’s not pretend that the majority of players are running around pissing their pants over what other’s have. Nobody cares what you find in D2 outside of near-perfect or better rolls. It’s all exaggerated in text and you know that.

“Cool, you found that armor I’ve been hunting!” … end of story.

You’re not winning anything in a 20 year old game. It’s all been done before. There is no “status” XD with “GG gear” haha. None. It is in some people’s minds, but it’s not real. And, personally, anyone attaching that much weight to their pixels and thinks they have some kind of status in the community because rng went their way needs to have a mental health evaluation.

It’s very simple. You check off the box to close the battle net launcher when you run the game. You set battle net to not auto log you in when launching.

You copy the entire Diablo 2 folder and paste it, so you have two copies of Diablo 2.

You run Diablo 2 and log into the battle net launcher. Once Diablo 2 is running, the launcher closes.

You run a Windows application called process explorer and close a “handle” that doesn’t allow multiple copies of the game to run.

You then launch Diablo 2 from the copied folder, log into your second account on the battle net launcher when it comes up, and run the game again.

It’s super possible and super easy. There are tutorials available.

Side note, it’s hilarious that some familiar faces are all up in arms at this idea as it’s P2W but aren’t connecting the dots that it’s (1) allowed and (2) being done by players and (3) would no longer be P2W nor create an unfair advantage if p8 were just allowed.

It’s not an edge over others if he stays 100% solo and never trades or pvp’s

In a game where loot, exp and drop rates scale with the number of players in the game, multiboxing will never be legit nor acceptable.

Multiboxing is allowed in Blizzard games for better or worse.

Key mirroring software is banned in WoW.

People are morons. I used to legally PVE only WOW 5 box. The amount of trash I dealt with was amazing. The neat part is that at the end of nearly all the arguments, they ended up with a ban for harassment and I kept on legally boxing. Its a shame the took it out of wow or Id be back on classic wrath with my 5 man team.

Software key mirroring in WoW is against the ToS. Also, you are a P2W bad.

Excuse mr. Bodach, could you please share with us the metrics you are using to classify that or that other thing as P2W or not? Also, is that based solely on your own option of the subject or do you have some kind of gamming authority to support your claims?
And finally, sorry to attack your beliefs, but you are wrongly using the term P2W, which should me addressed to the GAME, not the PLAYER.

I guess some people have a very shallow concept about what P2W really is…

Is having a better hardware P2W? For sure running the game smoothly gives some kind of advantage, is that unfair?

Is having a better internet service P2W? For sure lower ping gives some kind of advantage, is that unfair?

Is running two instances of the game on two devices P2W? Is that unfair? How is that different of sharing a room with an AFK friend?

This is clearly a case for - just play single player /player8.
All that trouble for what? OO

came here for info, but instead got treated to two retards bickering about something that isn’t even relevant to the discussion
