Go to Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security>Outbound Rules>New Rule>Program>Select D2Rexe>Block Connection. This will disable Battlenet/Online play in D2R.
Then simply make a shortcut of D2R exe on your desktop.
Create Shortcut , Properties
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe” -enablerespec
Fastest Launch of Diablo II Resurrected you will ever see, lag free.
Offline Only.
Are you absolutely certain that single player mods won’t work if connected to Battlenet?
I don’t personally use mods, as most of the ones on the Nexus seem a little cheaty for my tastes, though I was somewhat tempted with the ones that add ladder runewords to single player. Having to launch the game without internet enabled seems a step too far though.
Ladder runewords have been available in D2R single player immediately. This includes original D2 ladder runewords (Insight, Spirit, etc.) as well as the new D2R ladder runewords (both the 2.4 runewords and 2.6 runewords are available to create in SP).
Oh OK fair enough, no need for mods then.
This is a great point of conversation.
So most of the Nexus mods are launched when you open the battle.net launcher click settings click checkbox for additional command line arguments
-mod modname -txt
this is where you would want to add -enablerespec
so like -mod modname -txt -enablerespec
Personally What I would recommend leaving the command line blank, and then unchecking the additional arguments.
( You would be better off ) just creating a shortcut to the D2R.exe
with the shortcut Target just add
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe” -mod modname -txt -enablerespec
This Will Gurantee the game only runs in single player, and will not attempt to even connect to the online servers. ( Better Safe than Sorry )
Oh God it’s 2023 and You all haven’t heard of -launch parameter yet?
simply put to launch a mod in HiTechLowIQ you tube guy way you simply put arguments to a D2R.exe shortcut:
-mod yourmodnamehere -txt -launch
this completely ommits battle net app or the launcher. the only caaveat is that game license requires a license check at least once every 30 days, so you’d have to log in to battle net app and update/launch the game in online mode once in 30 days. if you’ve passed the license check, you may as well turn off battle.net app, plug out LAN cable ( or [God forbid] a wifi card), enable all your nasty hacks, launch the game from the shortcut, and be done with it.
the catch is, that once every 30 days You’ll be asked to run the game while online and i order to do that, the game has to be hack free, and up to date, so I’ll leave upto you, how do you want to do that, and will not discuss such matters.
What does -launch do?
the -launch parameter added to a D2R.exe desktop shortcut ( not in battlenet app in command line section). will enable you to run the game skipping the D2R Launcher and battlenet app.
This works under certain conditions as described in my previous post ( U need to launch the game from battlenet app and close it, before you run from the D2R desktop shortcut. U need to repeat this step every 30 days. otherwise U’ll get the infamous “30 days not online” license check). after this you can simply unplug the LAN cable, a nd play offline with any mods and cheats U desire.
the -launch parameter is used as an insurrence policy so you don’t get a ban for beeing connected to internet while running D2R with mods or potentially other stuff… ( for playing truthly offline…
Preferably also the solution for ppl with bad internet connection.
Huh, I’ve been playing just fine without the -launch parameter from the D2R.exe shortcut. as for mods, I usually play from from the .exe shortcut, but been just fine having them enabled in the launcher as well (-mod modname -txt) Some aspects work online, most don’t.
It’s 2023 and you haven’t realized people bypassed the 30 day verification since week 1?
Shame. Shame.
