Iron Golem killed by my own skeletons

I was doing cows in Hell. Blowing up things with corpse explosion.

I was checking my skeleton/mage count since they sometimes die when surrounded by cows when I noticed that I no longer had my Insight Iron Golem on my team.

I was confused because the IG doesn’t usually die and wondered if it died from a pack of nasty cows. I walked back a bit and saw my Iron Golem standing completely still and I could hover my mouse over it and a UI similar to what you see on consoles (the name of the monster) show up on it. It did not have the insight aura in this state.

Apparently my Iron Golem left my team and my skeletons promptly beat it to death.

I exited the game and made a new one, and my IG was gone.

WTF.

That’s a new version of the IG vanishing thing I haven’t seen reported before, but…that’s hilarious. :rofl:

Hope it wasn’t made out of anything expensive.

Ah, I missed that detail. Not too bad, but bloody annoying.

Honestly the IG is so flaky and unreliable at this point I’d hesitate to use anything more than vendor trash or just a random drop. They need to take a look at the entire thing to find out where all the broken bits are in the code, because it’s a great skill when it works.

But still, the skeletons beating it to death for its disloyalty is pretty damn funny.
