Removing immunities doesn’t mean you can kill those monsters easily. It just means that you could actually kill it even if it takes some time. Having to avoid immunes doesn’t make the game harder, it’s just annoying. Plus, you lose potential drops on top of it being annoying
D2R has already changed original D2 so much it is unplayable in Classic and many aspects of every day play.
Leave Immune monsters alone.
For instance my Blizz Sorc in Hell can kill Cold Immune monster with a NM Act2 holy freeze merc wearing a CV Insight.
Necro has two curses that can knock down an Immune monster.
Infinity wearing merc can kill Immune monsters as well.
OP leave the game alone please.
Need a lifetap wand
But seriously, Hell should be even harder, imo
That’s a bug and frankly I don’t see the issue
I don’t get the obsession with purist to defend “no being able to deal damage”
I think my proposition is more than reasonable, everybody can damage everything and those who damage monsters that would have been immune have to deal with that monster have crapload more life
No it’s not a bug.
You simply don’t understand what Immunities are in D2.
Immunity is NOT a can’t every kill it thingy.
It’s all about a level of can’t die that drops down as you hit it with more power that it has.
It’s the game of D2.
You haven’t played D2 for that long I would guess.
You forgot this is Non Season m8.
NS is easier than Season play.
Please indicate me to the patch note where Blizzard officially states that they intended to change the fact that cold mastery doesn’t break immune because prior to apply it’s cold penetration it requires to hit and immune monsters cants be hit with elements they are immune from

I assume you mean season as in Ladder. Ladder is gonna last 3-4 months. The game hasn’t even been out for 2 months. I don’t think ladder seasons will make this game any harder.
What would make this game harder would require changes that I do not think the community is ready for…yet. LOL!
I love how this guy says that other aren’t wavy enough to have an opinion while calling ladder “season” lol
FACT: D2 Season/Ladder is harder than NS or SP.
You are new to the game and need to read up on things.
Wrong because technically ladder has more OP runewords, therefor it’s easier
And lol talk about underestimating the importance of trading while saying ladder is harder than sP lol
FACT: D2 Season/Ladder is harder than NS or SP.

I am new to this game huh?
I played this game since 2000. I played when Unique Items had no level requirement and the best weapons were Rare Gothic Bows and Rare Lances with 180%+ ED. I was there when people did not rush for Forge, but did rush for the quest reward from Blade of the Old Religion. I was there when Ith weapons started to show up on Closed Realm. I was there when the first Windforce sold for thousands of dollars on Ebay. I was there when 1.08 Valor was the BEST armor. I was there when Occy Rings made their way to closed realms. I have played this game for 20 years… I am not new.
D2R just gave us a taste of what Ladder will be like as WE ALL JUST STARTED FRESH. The game hasn’t even been out 2 months yet and Ladder will last 3-4 months (Blizzard comfirmed). So tell me genius, what will make Ladder more difficult than what we are experiencing right now? If anything, it will be easier as I have a feeling we will see new overpowered rune words…
The reason, D3 boy, that Season/Ladder had additional runewords than NS or SP is because it is harder.
This is from D2 20 years ago. This is not a D3 QoL game.
How to make the game more fun and easy for all the noobs, though making it boring and unchallenging for all the others. - Fixed it for you.
Not flawed, working as intended and is designed well. Gitgud.
i have wanted to remove immunities forever, and i never found a solution to due so without breaking the game.
and u just gave me the idea how
monsters should be able to have any resistance ( like the currently do)
but that resistance is capped at 95%, and anything above is just extra padding for the - res gear and curses to take from before it lowers under 95%. and then if that monster had over 95 anything left takes the 1/5th effectiveness AFTER its brought to 95%, instead of before, if it had to be broken
granted that would still be a massive balance change, and i would want to test it in PTR first, but it would make the game more fun assuming it doesn’t break certain builds
so for example… if a monster had 130 fire res
and u had lvl 10 lower resist ( -55 resist)
that would bring it down to 95 with the first 45 and then the next 10% would bring it to 93% because it would only lose 2 because 1/5th of 10.
and then any -res on gear would be applied last and wouldn’t be effected by the 1/5th penalty.
that should bring a roughly similar effect without breaking cold mastery, or making facets op as well as making infinity not as OP but still very good
I think immunity’s are fine as is, however insta gib mobs like death lords need to be looked into, yikes. Not sure if they are bugged or what, frequently when they KO my merc when frenzy they just stand there and let me nuke them at will. Thanks for the 50K bill? Sorry not sorry. Broken or updated IAS amp their frames down to a new level or what?
Immunities are fine. stop whining. without stuff like this you’d brag how easy the game is. Learn to deal, thats the challenge.
I believe hell was designed for online play. Generally out of 2 players one of the two can break an immunity unless you’re playing same class/skill/elemental alignment. Hell is brain dead simple with 2 players.
If you play solo there should be a way to break immunities. Even if it is something like cold/fire/light mastery for classes. If you invest enough points you should be able to punch a hole in every monster
OR
Introduction the ability to temporarily convert say cold to fire or cold to lightning. It could be a skill that grants you a conversion buff for five seconds.
@OP what about NO?
Adapt to the game mechanics, don’t ask the mechanics to change for you.
You at I’ll informed. Immunity existed since LoD.
But because of no synergy pre 1.10. You usually had points to spec to strong attack of different elements.
A zealot can put points to conviction and vengeance to deal with phy immunity. Javazon can spec into guide arrow. Etc.
I think dual immunity was added in 1.10. Together with synergy make it worst.
