Based on what I have read, the majority of people’s response to this skill is positive. I think it will stay as is or improved a bit. The skill has issues with lack of AOE and target prioritization + piercing.
I know right? Ladder won’t start with BIS gear team!
TheDarkJedi, hey good to see you posting again I hope they keep the fire damage the same. I love builds that make you feel like a God. The Javazon with cheaper gear can snap her fingers in a players 8 game and all the cows can get melted with one volley. Firedins with BIS gear cannot do that, yet.
Thats right! I feel that this skill is working correctly right now, its super fun to use and required really good gear to get to.
Because people love to hate on the all-powerful Paladins
i mean in players 8. javazon still takes kingship over this lol . . . this one will just pass her up in lower players counts. . . It can use slightly tuned back to take 2 ticks in p1. and like 5-6 ticks in p8. . that solidifies it’s niche as a players 1 cow killer that doesn’t do well in players 6-8. without killing it. (essentially turning it to a rune farmer).

ya for the most part I agree, that the damage is in a decent spot relative to other builds. Most of the people complaining probably haven’t had the opportunity to play with very many fully maxed builds to realize how strong most of them are. Or understand the difference in health/damage from players 1 to players 8.
the damage on fire isn’t even that extreme. . . I’d say if blizz just toned down the maximum range of fire aura’s pulse maybe some people would be satiated. or to tone the dmg down to take 2 ticks instead of 1 they’d also be satiated without murdering it. (it still isn’t viable for players 8 relative to top builds as is . . . and ya, javazon in p8 makes this thing look like a joke)

A lot going on about a Dragon HF build lol.
Has anyone tried how broken Dual Dream & Dragon/HoJ would be?
One change i would do without nerfing it: i would cut the damage in half but therefore double the ticks of the aura. Maybe even faster ticks with less damage

What? You compare the pulse dmg from a lvl 44HF to a lvl30 HS? If you want a good comparison only use 1 dragon and hoj and see if it still one shots.
Dreams will always outdo fire because of how easy it is to break lightning immunes and a massive life leech if because of grief.
The HF build will get reckt in p3 and above

The good news is (or bad, depending on who you ask)… Stamina serves a purpose now… Since I’m just running through the game.
Haha before launch i remember millions of threads requesting removal of stamina

Part of the issue is Llama shows off these builds that look so strong, but he does not like to play a BiS hammerdin or a BiS javazon because he thinks they are too strong. So a lot of casuals don’t understand how strong the top builds are.

I feel like the Joker in the Dark Knight.
Cast Hammers and kill everything in the game with cost of 1 Um rune and nobody bats an eye but invest 7+ High runes into a character and can kill mobs with 1 player health and you’re not a Hammerdin or sorc and everyone loses their minds.
hey newbie, maybe you’re new in D2, if you loot 1 Cham, 3 Sur, 3 Lo, 2 Vex, 1 Ist and 1 Ohm in the 3-4 months season you must take a medal.
That’s the lLamma’s build, it’s based on high end items, just like other his builds. If you follow this logic, they must remove Infinity because it’s mega OP and it’s broke the game.
P.s…Nobody cares if you quit the game, just sayin’.
Give it 2-4 weeks, people on JSP will buy what they need and be running this build.
I don’t disagree but how is this different than Hammerdins having zero budget builds clearing hell chaos solo?
Make any argument you want but if something like that exists it’s fair for something that costs 7+Hr’s to clear players 1 games.

People can complain about this all day but I see nothing wrong with it until the PTR shows me it’s better than Hammerdin 8P Chaos/Baal or Javazon 8P Cows, until that happens I’ll not believe it’s some OP obnoxious build that should be destroyed.

It’s not a complaint from many people. We simple see that this build is just a wee bit too powerful right now. I get its fun to faceroll content and feel awesome about how amazing your character is, but after a day or two it wears off and you wonder why the game is so boring – if Holy Fire lands as-is it’s quite literally a run around and do nothing (for the most part) build where stuff just dies and you collect loot. I guess that might be appealing for some, but most of us enjoy a little interaction with our game.
If you compare it to its counterpart build Dream, it’s clearly out performing and not by a little. Dream is a very viable aoe clearing build, but requires some mele (usually Zeal) to supplement it. You typically 2-3 pulse cows with it, which is still pretty powerful. It just needs to be brought down in line with Dream-level of power. It’s pretty obvious to most people that Holy Fire as overtuned a bit in the positive direction – just needs a small dial back to Dream-level performance.
Having something like this in the game gives people who grind for hundreds of hours a build to farm for. A goal post of you will.
Having no goal in a game where you solo farm makes people quit. I made a post with my idea to up the cost a little bit and try and make it more reasonable.
