If I change my PSN name, do I lose my chars/progress in D2R?

Hey guys,

I play D2R on my PS4. Every time I log in, no matter what I’ve actually named my chars, the name that shows up is just my PlayStation Network username.

I’m thinking about changing my PSN name through the PlayStation settings, but I’m worried…

  • If I change it, do I lose all my chars/progress in D2R?
  • Or will everything stay the same and just show the new PSN name?

Basically I just wanna make sure I won’t screw myself over and lose my Battle.net chars/items by changing the PSN username.

Anyone here done this already?

I don’t have PSN since I am on Xbox but I can tell you that your PSN name is just a name, most likely there is random number/id behind it that identifies you and your progression so think about the name being just a label. It would make zero sense to lose progression just because you want to change your display name. I cannot guarantee anything but I can tell you that I have already changed my Xbox gamer tag and nothing happened to my progression.
