I feel you pain. My blizzard sorc has same problem. at level 86, she was rushed through hell Baah in a public game, but the only wp she has in Act3 are Travincal and Durance lv2. At this point, I’m just too afraid to go out alone to face those cold immunes while it is very difficult to find a public game in which people would go through all the sub quests.
Farm Meph NM, Andy and Meph Hell, join public games, and gear your merc.
Anyway, no, not everything is cold immune, just knight casters. All the rest but certain elites can be killed.
And whenever you manage to split 1 single cold immune from the group, cast Static Field until his life drops no more, then Telekinesis until merc kills him.

You’re GREATLY misplaying the cold sorc. You REALLY need to focus on getting a strong act 2 merc (4os eth insight + andarials visage + treachery) - as he alone gives you the power to target kill specific cold immunes that get in your way.
I would do the following run on my blizz sorc when farming:
Andarial, Summoner (skip rest), Travincal Council, Mephisto, Chaos Sanc + Diablo, Nilithalk (when not immune), Baal + Throne room, Cows.
Firstly, your goal is to target kill bosses/high value targets while having 250-350 mf. Secondly, ignore packs of cold immunes, but telestomp on single targets (mages in chaos sanctuary, wave 2 in baal throne room) and have your merc rip them to pieces. Use static to lower their HP, and telekinesis to “stun” then when they’re against a wall. Teleport RIGHT on them to get your merc swinging asap.
