For new act, some expanded end game content a’la PoE maps with different modifers, extra runes, extra skills for each class, rebalance trash items so that they are competetive in regard to most popular items, new monster mechanics. There is a lot that can be done without changing main structure and spirit of Diablo 2.
You read it right Blizz, I am willing to pay you money. Even as a expansion.
Sounds great. D4 may have what you’re looking for. You can even pre-order for early access next year.
Same if they decided to add new stages, mini bosses, bosses, class, new monsters and many side quests.
That would give them a chance to rework old uniqes and ceeate new one.
Problem is their is only a few of us who speak with our wallets and the crap show of D2R is who would want to even lead this project.

I agree, Expansion is a thing on the shopping list. For example Blizz might want to check what we modders do from ages ago and implement some of the best ideas in their own balanced way. It’s not so hard to borrow idea, w/o making it look like copy/paste material. And good ideas in the modding community are plenty.
