I gave in and used JSP

Sure it is possible, if you enjoy sitting in trade games all day and wasting your time.

Just had an Ohm drop in Halls of Anguish

I tried traderie a bit but it’s hit or miss
Lots of over priced garbage and slow responses like a week later

Traderie is just a giant in game trade game. Sure you might get lucky and find a good fair deal for what you need, but usually everyone wants 3x value on their trade or they’re AFK.

This is what I use D2jsp for… price checks.

I find out how much my items are worth, then I find out how much the item I want is worth. This way when I set up a trade game with complete strangers in D2, I don’t spend all day waiting for a trade, because my offer is incredibly under value.

Then I leave the site, I make a custom game in D2, put up the item and wait for hits. I find something I think is suitable, or is close to FG value and trade it.

I never trade directly on D2jsp. I never facilitate the trades from D2jsp. I never attempt to meet anyone in D2R from D2jsp. I have zero FG on D2jsp.

All I ever wanted was a price check for current market value ( I loosely use this term) to make sure I wasn’t making an incredibly stupid trade, because I simply don’t have all the drop rates memorized.

Does this mean I use D2jsp? Maybe an argument could be made, but at the same time I don’t.

This is how you should do your trades. D2jsp gets nothing. You don’t involve yourself in their middling FG currency.

There are other sites you can easily price check your items on, those I would also suggest. This is the only use I have for any 3rd party sites. Otherwise they can burn in the lava around Chaos Sanctuary.

All Blizzard ever had to make was a price check website (or addon to the game). Since they have access to the direct code, they know exactly how rare every item is, and then can offset it with items traded the most / or have the highest demand.

I’m sure with all the hand wringing money counting they’ve done over at Blizzard since 2008 they have the ability, since all the quality control individuals got fired or left.

I play HC where everyone is better.

I know how and where to run and how to build a speed runner or a solid mf toon.

I can clear the entire game all day every day i just dont get runes. The only people i see talking about finding ruins are the newer accounts… All the OG HC players in discoord have a conspiracy theory that their accounts are flagged or something.

Starting to wonder.

Are you doing this in a solo game? There is no Way in hell you’re getting a High rune drop every hour in a solo game. I ve seen Isenharts drop 50 times in the past 3 hours doing runs.

Just to edit I load 3 accounts.

I use my Bo’r to make game so I have virgin diablo kill and Chanter just to sit

1 pala is at hell diablo for virgin kills the other pala is full cleared

Usually solo, might do lower kurast + council and maybe meph during baal runs.

And usually it’s 1-3 a week, normally 1 with an hour of dedicated farming everyday or a few times a day depending on how much I can play, in a week of doing that usually 1, I found a ber and Jah in the same “run”.

I can’t say I do anything special besides grinding set paths.

Edit: I do clear pretty much everything during the runs. I will either corral them into packs and wipe or use a character with wide aoe, for me that’s a bonemancer with heavy teeth dmg.

Don’t “grind for runes” that’s half the problem. All the HRs I’ve ever found were just completely random, we’re talking trash, non-meta areas, useless elite packs off the main grind.

  1. Login, get your fastest killing character. (not your fastest character that can kill)
  2. Pick a starting area like River of Flame - and just kill everything til Baals Throne room.
  3. Don’t stare intently at every drop, you’ll see it / hear it.
  4. Put on some grinding music. (some mid 2000s club hits - that’s a joke btw).
  5. The runes will drop.

Disclaimer: You play on HC, so obviously mindlessly killing elite packs in Hell difficultly could get you ded. Proceed with care.

I have been playing since D1 release lol

I am well aware of which packs can make you dead.

I just don’t find runes man. I have done everything in this game. I have had one of the best pvp built characters in multiple hc seasons. I just don’t find high runes, I dunno. I help people a lot. I do a TON of rushes and boss killing for people as well. I just don’t find high runes.

Its all good though, learning the trade over the years makes getting enigma quickly fairly easy, or easy enough. Once you get enigma the entire process changes and its almost to easy.

I tried Sc a little bit when I had bad internet during my move. It was fun to play carelessly not worrying about dying and being able to pvp anywhere with anyone and not worry about getting killed by the plethora of hacking going on.

Or they could make items attainable!

If it makes you feel any better, I’ve been doing 1-2 hour MF sessions with a 350% Nova sorc that moves as fast as her lightning, but it’s been a week since ANYTHING good has dropped. I’m talking, usable on any build. So I can at least somewhat sympathize. I know dry spells suck.

Also, I was playing Diablo 1 back in the day too. I’m not really sure how I got it because this was back in the day of “card games, computer games and D&D are from Satan” -and I was like 14 or 15.

what kind of gear do you need on a nova sorc to make them viable? Pala is just to powerful but I am interested in what you’re running?

The new ES nova build can vary. Some ppl running infinity (in hands) with griff. Some running hoto or cresent moon with spirit and infin on merc. I think infin on merc is best, but to each their own. It does seem to stomp pretty hard even P8 nowadays. The rest is gear depending on breakpoints and whatnot. It seems to be pretty adaptable.

The ES buff and mana burn nerf made the build pretty kickass.

I have Griffs, Infinity, Few skillers, HotO or Oculus, Arachnid mesh, frostburn gaunts, Maras ammy, Tal chest or Viper Magi Skin depending on MF or not, 2 SoJ ES build. Also got 2 light facets in the chest and helm.

It’s a P1 killer, falls off a bit after P4. Paladins and Amazons can still go faster on P8, but it’s fun. I imagine if you do the build fully complete, all skillers, torch, anni charm etc. You could probably kill on P8 pretty fast.

Also, I don’t play ladder because I think Blizzard sorc is the most boring thing in D2 and I refuse to play it.

The thing that slows you down the most is when you teleport with your merc, there’s a delay on the conviction aura from the merc. Until that thing applies, you’re not killing anything with any decent resists.

WOW! I have never seen so many mutlis until I read this thread. Amazing.

As for jsp. I used it for years. Never spent a single dime. traded what I found for FG. Used said FG to gear my chars. Is reliable, stable trading platform. Has moderators to assist with trades so you don’t get scammed. And, instead of spending countless hours trying to trade pgems, or pouring over listings on other sites … you simply post stating what you are looking for and extremely quickly, you get responses. You answer them, meet them ingame, trade with them, and whamo, trade is done and you have what you sought.

It could not be any simpler than that.

Can’t fault njaguar for providing a stable trading platform when blizz refused to.

You give your player base what they want or they will find it elsewhere. The players rule, not the makers.

It’s the principle my dude. Strange concept I know. Simply by using their site you support botting, you support RMT, and you support crap like MH.

If your principles are worth less than some pixels in a game then that’s on you.

My dude, you really need to stop “supposing”, “guessing”, & “assuming”, my dude.

I do not support botting, I do not support RMT, & I do not support MH.

Now, by using a stable trade platform does not change how I feel or whom I do or do not support.

My principles are much higher than yours as I do not use mutli’s on a game forum.

Get over your ignorance, my dude.

Now, my dude fanboi … it is precisely that blizz has refused to come up with a stable trade platform, that myself and many, many users are forced to trade where there is a stable trade platform. So, yes, I trade, I do not offer money, I do not offer support, and I am sure as hell not a mouth-piece fanboi that has not a damned clue as to what he/she/it is talking about.

And iff your principles are based on pixels in a game and you are nothing but a fanboi mouthpiece, seriously, I really feel for you… You have major, major issues.

You use JSP. You DO support botting. You DO support RMT. You DO support Map hack.

If you didn’t you wouldn’t use JSP. Not supposing involved here. Actions speak louder than words.

I do not support maphack, no need to try to put something in mouth mouth just because you like something in yours.
Actions do speak louder. I refuse to reduce myself to trading pgems for crap while I let a game company keep me down, hence that’s why you are nothing more than a fanboi mouthpiece and will never climb higher than that. As matter of fatc you are lower on the scale than blizz is on metacritic, because of Immoral.

My actions are very clear, the gaming company I bought a game from refuses to help the huge player base and refuses to listen to them, so I support a different site to trade on. The message is simple:
We are the players, we determine what we want in a game. Either provide it or we will find a way to make it happen.

We are not succumbing fanboi mouthpieces trying to kiss someone’s butt in hopes of trying to be someone in a pixilated environment. Get a life.

Most of the people would stop using jsp if there was in game robust trading lobby. I haven’t used JSP in ages but it did make trading 2000% easier. Can trade singular items to build up for more expensive items. Good accountability among people.

The issue with JSP is it makes it easy to dump large quantities of merchandise, usually you could tell how they got it by the amount they had to offer. It allows you to horde and use said currency on fresh ladders causing obvious power vacuums.

I dunno, I get why people use it, but most would do trades in game if it was modernized.
