try installing the game on linux as an external steam application
it runs like a charm !
I ran the game with Intel Mac with Bootcamp and it played fine until the next OS update not an OS upgrade but a period update and something would stop working with Bootcamp until Microsoft catches up with a patch. I got sick of it a got a Switch. I needed the Mac for graphics the reason I got one but should consider a basic PC for non graphic intensive games. I have been playing D2 since literally day one and Switch for offline is ok but PC better for ladder.
Apart from a couple of UI differences, this worked with the latest template (1.0.7) and Sikarigur-Wine engine (10.0_3). Now I have to wait for the fix to the launcher problem stuck at “playing now” and not launching any game, where it seems the game is playing in the background.
