Hydras are OK! Time for Frozen ORB!

Tested Hydras in: Stony Tomb Level 1/2, Arachnid Lair (some Fimm), Mauso, Meph, Eldritch/Shenk/Pindel, it seems to be OK; nice dmg, very safe distance, fast enough, FB support if needed + a lot of fun, 0 deaths in 20-30runs.
Conclusion; I never back to FBall for PvM :smiley:

Now its the time for Frozen ORB. Tested OrbBlizz in: Stony Tomb Level 1/2, Arachnid Lair, Mauso, Meph, ATunnels, Chaos; work decent with Blizzard as support, but Im not impressed like with Hydras, distance is small, dmg is bad-medicore, ORB is slow, risky, overall very dangereus in usage, some deaths at 10 runs. Pure Blizz is safier, get better dmg, IBlast/Glacial are better as a supports than Orb. Buffed area lvls means ppl will GO pure elements more often and stick to some areas, Orb is good enough only as a support on hybs, but still Blizz+support is better than main+Orb cuz Cold > Fire/Light. There is no place for current Orb in 2.4 so I would suggest to buff ORB a lot cuz OrbSorc is supposed to be a Battle Mage; close distance+strong spells.

My suggestion: increase synergie on IBolt from 2% to 4% and add new synergie from Blizzard 4%.

Gear for test, typical rdm starter: dual Spirit, Enlightenment/Viper, Lore, Tal Belt, MageF, fcr rings, fcr amu. No Merc and Merc Act2: rdm helm + Smoke + rdm Insight.

Did you try maxing out plus cold skill grand charms with maxed out frozen orb plus synergy? It’s pretty viable as a main in players 1.

Viable with a fully geared char is not really a build. Fully gear chars all should be able to clear P1 with ease. Otherwise the builds will never be played.

I have a similiar idea of 2 synergies for FO, but skills that u suggest as synergies would buff up Blizz + FO build like crazy. Check my post on this matter - Frozen Orb needs a buff - #24 by Majesty-1216

Totally agreed about Chilling Armor, it fits naturally.

Dont agree about Ice Bolt removal cuz its natural synergy (Ice Bolts).

I would add Blizzard synergie cuz it uses Ice bolts too and Blizz is req skill for FOrb.

As I mentioned in my linked post - I think that Blizzard and Frozen Orb should not have synergies in common, since now you can use both these skills together and you would be able to increase current FO damage without investing points in additional skills to get synergies. That’s why I suggested to switch FO’s Ice Bolt synergy to other skill which is not also a synergy for Blizzard (even tough it fits Frozen Orb perfectly as synergy). Another way would be to switch Ice Bolt as Blizzard synergy to something else… like Frozen Armor, but I do not suggest it since FA is a useful skill and it would make full Blizzard build even stronger (as Ice Bolt is not being used/casted by Blizzard builds now, it’s just a synergy).

No FO synergy for Blizz.

Full Blizz is much stronger than BlizzOrb (better Blizz dmg, IB/GS support).

If you GO BlizzOrb after new synergie from Blizz then you just get new option to IB/GS.

If you GO OrbBlizz then you just get full Orb + weaker Blizz.

Full Orb as 30lvl Top Cold skill is terrible in current state.
