Hustle runeword

think that might be the first thing you’ve ever said that makes sense and i can agree with. except mybe “give advice”, calling your messages giving advice is a slight bit of a reach. but otherwise i agree

You need 20 swings which hit on average to proc. Let’s say hit chance is 75%. The expected amount of hits to proc would be:
(100/5) / 0.75 = 27 hits
And I am not regarding block chance which some monsters have.

Hmmm now I go hustle pre buff and CoH on my zeal sorc… plus metamorphosis mark of bear prebuff.

Ladder Season 3 sorcs OP calling it :stuck_out_tongue:

True. There are other factors in prebuffing than just attack speed. Running to and from the monsters. Load times. Etc.

It doesn’t really matter if zeal can land 4 attacks if 1 hit kills the trash mob. The total number of executable attacks is what matters.

I have seen no indication that this can be made in bow…

That’s not how probability works. Every swing is an independent event

That’s like saying you only need 2 coin flips to land heads…

If you’re going to use hustle, no shiite you’re going to use another utility weapon on swap.

What’s hilarious is you moaning about the one variable that is likely to be changed during ptr (the ctc proc chance).

Right, because every class can dual wield like an Assassin or Barb…

Who cares about any other class. Barbs are all that matter

No, that’s exactly how probability works. I said amount of hits in average. And yes, you expect a head after 2 coin flips in average. It doesn’t mean you get a head every time you toss a coin 2 times. The more you toss your coin the more you’ll get an average of 1head per 2 coin tosses over time. Each coin flip is independent, the base probability doesn’t change, we’ve got a binomial outcome. Average expectation for a binomial even is:
number of tries * probability of success

Most definitely, only class that should be required run with an entirely inventory of prebuff gear to be viable…

i didnt get to snoop on the new runewords but i feel like most of them will be left out in the dust. ppl get 90+ and gear up pretty quick these days.

and i assume they wont beat enigma/coh and the other high end stuff.

im just talking through my hat since i didnt actually check them out heh

What do you think these values were?

Sure, if you plan on infinite trials.

If you ever just toss the coin until you get the desired outcome, than the probability of successfully getting heads is 50% in 1 flip and 75% in 2 flips…

I’m gonna pick the pettiest hill to die on but why did they have to call it HUSTLE?
How about Swift… Haste… or surely any other word that sounds a little more medieval than hustle.

:face_with_monocle:

There’s an amusing parallel here with hustle culture, juggling multiple prebuffs (gigs) to achieve what others can do with much less effort (inheritance, etc.).

But yeah, it’s kind of a weird name for a Diablo runeword.
