They will give refund, I have received it after having a character deleted, multiple rollbacks, and 12+ hour lockout from servers.

It has nothing to do with not properly anticipating demand, it is intentionally shorting on resources to save money. They don’t care.

Well your analogy isnt better. Lets try this:

You’re selling 500 tickets for a big new swimming pool event.
The swimming pool has space for up to 200 people.
And its only filled up to 50 cm with water.
And has a hole in it.

And a dog shat into it too.

If you’re selling 500 tickets to a swimming pool, you’d very well better have the space for them to swim…

No, this is an assumption made on your opinion of blizzard, not a fact.

This is a common issue with games and it’s not just Blizzard, and it’s also not just “lack of caring.”

From a business perspective, you don’t want more capacity than you need because then you’re spending money on stuff you’re not using. So you’re always trying to get it just right, unfortunately that tends to result in erring on the side of not enough vs. too much.

This is a typical over response from overly disgruntled and entitled blizzard fans who demand perfection and get totally outraged at anything less.

The game is working fine now. Server roblems resolved in less than 24 hours. It sure doesn’t look like bad faith to me. And in case you still doubt that’s what the problem is, these issues mainly only occured in the NA region. There were threads talking about streamers getting preferential treatment- The reality is those streamers were playing on EU which didn’t experience the same problems as NA.

Sadly, D2 resurrected is dead on day 1 for me…still cant play this game. Maybe we will get D2 resurrected again next week

the games also still crashing for me and ive sent about 50 crash logs to them when it did the same thing during the beta.

ridiculous, entirely ridiculous.

That’s a big load of bullcrap right there.

You don’t see this happening on any Nintendo games online, Splatoon, Smash, Mario Party, Mario Kart, etc. Yes, they don’t have the best online performances BUT IT WORKS.

Need more examples? What about ANY FromSoft games? Still, 0 issues like this at launch.

Why are you finding ways to excuse such a crap show? Still not convinced? Alright!

All the super cool kids game; Fortnite, Among us or fall guys. They had a big boom of player base, no problem!

There are THOUSAND more example like this. Blizz is still f-ing up and look stupid. But wait, there’s more!

This issue was reported IN THE BETA!! Can you imagine? A whole month and f- all was done? Mental!

There’s NO excuses at this point. The goblin of a CEO at the top of the chain should be TOSSED.

Hey man, you’re welcome to your opinion.

There’s always going to be some people who are easily put off by even the smallest things and cry for a refund, and if you want one, well go ahead and get one. But the stability issues are already gone, and a patch was already issued to fix the issue with offline saves. They are clearly acting in good faith to get the game working properly for everyone. Cry bullcrap, cry “excuses!” all you want, give up access to a perfectly fine, totally functional game, be my guest.

The "goblin CEO at the top of the chain has virtually zero to do with these problems. I don’t like corporate bigwigs either, but he doesn’t even know about any bugs in the game or anything else you’re whining about.

There’s a reason for everything. But rather than consider all the reasons something might be, you are hard locked on to the ones you want to believe. The community is better off without you.

Just be glad you’re not part of the crowd with older chips that don’t support AVX like I am. Imagine running the beta flawlessly on ultra settings only to have the release client not start AT ALL. This group of people haven’t even gotten to play at all. There are literally thousands of players that can’t even boot the game and here we are on Saturday on day 3 and all we get it is “we’re exploring the issue and don’t have an eta.”

So no, some of us are completely justified to be mad and demand refunds for a game that ran perfectly at beta and then somehow changed a requirement that was never stated in the requirements for the release version. A good part of this isn’t just people whining and being entitled, it’s the fact that they paid for a product based on a beta that wanted and they can’t even use it now.

I’m not sure what you mean about chips that dont support AVX, but if the beta worked, it doesn’t sound like a hardware issue could have been predicted at that point. You ought to be a bit more understanding that an issue like this probably wasn’t expected (again, i’ve never heard of this, I don’t even know what AVX is)

The problem is you’re assuming some kind of malice where none exists. If you want a refund, fine, that’s your business. But maybe give them more 24 hours to fix an issue that didn’t exist in the beta?

Launch issues happen. It’s not exactly a rarity in the industry. If you demand all video games to be perfect at release, well you won’t be buying many or any of them in the future.

For some people. I was auto banned because of the internet provider I had because of something to do with a VPN, I forget exactly what the reason was but yeah they couldn’t offer a fix and it was a fight to get my refund back for that.

remember when we played games for ““FUN””

Vicarious Visions the devs that made this game are in new york and have nothing to do with any of that stuff they are only owned by Activision Blizzard…

the actions of a few terrible ppl shouldn’t just make every since person that works there the same…

Well there goes my money :frowning:
