Only really working solurton are live opetarors hunting cheaters
Automatic systems can be easily fooled.
There u go, u sloved the bot problem, but that will make it so they won’t come back, so then how are they gonna make money? The last time they sloved the money problem in d3 every one lost their mind, which was by allowing us to be able to sell our items, and they made money on each sale.
They could add a cash shop, but I’m sure if people lose their minds at the mention of personal loot a cash shop will make them die inside.
Nope if u want to play diablo 2 you just gotta accept that there are scum and that scum will cheat, steal, and make money. Blizzard will make the most money they can, and that is apparently how every one likes it.
They will make money by having great reputation, huge player base playing and buying their products because they actualy care about cheating.
Why do you think so many people bought cyberpunk and they made fortune from it even when it was broken? Becuase they had amazing reputation.
I somewhat agree with ‘‘stop supporting’’ item websites, personally I would never buy an item from anywhere, but I can see the appeal in it. It is true, where there is demand, there’s supply.
…
Like a personal market? (not an auction house). I think it would still be abused.
Nope, they won’t make money from that, they make money by selling stuff. That isn’t going to sell them more games, it would make them sell way less games, because the cheaters and botters buy huge amounts of them. So your gonna have to do better than that if you want to convince the share holders, and the CEO to abandon a huge profit scheme just because it’s the right thing to do.
Yes they will. If you make good product people are coming back and buying it and when you create great enviroment without cheaters people would be happily willing to play for bonus stuf flike transmog stuff, customized guild halls for their clain in d2 and stuff like that.
No like a cash shop, where you can buy vanity equipment, change ur sex, change your class, reset your skills, add more stash, hmm maybe make diablo clone spawn, have some gambling boxes that have a chance to give high runes. That would make up for the lost profit they make from bots, cheaters, and the rmt people.
I find it mind boggling that people will buy from worthless websites and thier bots, but as soon as blizzard tries to do it people flip out haha.
Ban IPs AND cd keys would be the first step.
Ahh u said cash shop now, didn’t u see the people lose their minds talking about personal loot, and you want customizable guild halls in the cash shop. The diablo 2 people would rather have bots, and cheaters than a diablo 2 with no cheats, and a cash shop. I don’t why I would have to ask them.
I would much rather have what your talking about it would be a dream, but I’ve never once seen any corporation do it. EverQuest or daybreak or now that other company lol, they make huge amount of money on bots, and have a cash shop lol. Ultima online same thing. Wow same thing. I have yet to see any one but private severs stop cheating, it’s because there is no profit in it, and all these corporations do is make profit.
Nobody would be forcing you to buy those lol, its totaly up to you and it snot pay to win so whats bad about that if that will support them so they can keep servers clean? And no, people would not rather want cheating and bots. Cheating was main reason who so many people left battle ne to play on private realms, modes and single player.
Detect the non human behavior is the easiest way… why are accounts not banned for playing 24/7 for months on end? Account sharing should/is against TOS so this is by far the easiest method to ban bots. After you pool all the accounts together with such huge playtime now send them through another screen like inhuman casts per hour.
I don’t think that would fix anything and actually make it even worse. Selling power in any game is a big no-no. Cosmetics is maybe the only one I could painfully agree with.
You would have even more Bots and external auction services who would sell it cheaper than your so proposed cash shop and make it even worse than it is now! Look at cs go and their skin situation.
There wouldn’t be bots, because they would all be banned. So they would be doing it manually, and there wouldn’t be any profit in it, unless they used slaves. Blizzard one hundred percent could stop botting and cheating all together. The cash shop was just a way to get money for them to pay for it.
They won’t do it anyways, even if people didn’t freak out about cash shops. Because it’s way more profitable to just ban bots and have them rebuy it, and most people don’t know or don’t care.
Or set up a captcha… Machines don’t pass the Turing Test (yet)
