can he even solo hell p8 ? Does he have the required dmg ?
Well, both the Tornado and the Hurricane Druid can solo p8, yet the latter is probably a bit stronger than the first. Though generally speaking, Wind Druids lack either raw damage or the means to reduce physical resistances of monsters to keep up with the other p8 killers in Hell difficulty. You will find a Wind Druid always following the crowd, because Javazons, Nova Sorcs, and Hammerdins simply kill way faster and way more efficiently.
The Wind Druid is, therefore, somewhat of a meme build, since it cannot compare to all the S-Tier builds out there. But let me tell you, in p1 he rocks and is a lot of fun to play. So if you want to make one, go ahead; just don’t expect him to take the lead in Chaos Sanctuary TZ games.

just reached hell… I am +30 with hurricane and tornado and striving at p8
I seem to have some good pieces for instance this skull shell that gives me +3 to either (what is the bis item here ?) of them, earthshaker (+3 to elemental), a +3 amulet…
I guess that he is like any other caster… still weak for p8… he needs 2 soj, +2 from the shield, +2 from the armor, maybe +2 from the gloves and +5 from the skillers… but even at +40 I can’t see that he’d be strong enough… and ofc not to much of room for MF
Or one of the best balanced builds in the game I’d say. Hybrid damage to deal with immunities well, crowd control, good defense with ele shield and summons for tanking, totally playable with easy to get gear and BiS gear doesn’t make it OP. P8 builds should get nerfed to this level.
there are two schools of druid equipment one for max +skills the other for max FCR:
for max skills:
druid helm: +3 classtab +3 staffmod for given skill ( repair prices are outrageous)
amu: +3 classtab +10% FCR
shield: spirit
weapon: Heart of the oak runeword
belt: arachnid’s
rings:2x soj
gloves: magefist
chest: enigma runeword
boots: tri-res rares are bis here tough there are other contenders here like wartravs for MF
FCR:
coronet,tiara, diadem with +3classtab and 20% FCR
amu +3 clastab 10%FCR
weapon: Heart of the oak
shield: spirit (minimum 33%FCR)
gloves magefist
belt arachnid mesh
rings: rares with tri-res and 10% FCR both
this puts you at max FCR of 163% w/o the need for a caster amu
caster amu would have to be perfect 2/20 so uou could squeeze a soj for ring slot, this is far more expensive option than simply a 3/10 amu and 10% on both rings.

Tiara or diadem with +3 druid elements and 20%FCR seemes obtainable far easier than druid pelt of 3+3 plus the only thing you’d need is roll 33% fcr on spirit shield
The rings only need apprentcie affix to be viable the tri-res were mentioned cause you wanted bis items tho any 10% fcr rings will do… and theese drop like crazy. The difference between 99% and 163% fcr brakpoints is huge
