The OP has a very good point : if some items are super super rare / difficult, a way to retrieve them would be a good idea.
I’m pretty sure most of the people who are laughing at him would want that too if they lost a valuable item (and would somehow explain that their particular circumstances for losing would justify the necessity to fix the system).
I sympathize with you, dear. I just sold my annihilus 19/14/8 and the only one I’ve had so far. It was a surprise when I found Dclone in Baal’s quest. I ran to discord and asked for help, but as I couldn’t, I read some guides, prepared as best I could, and spent the two hours trying to kill him until I got it. It was a joy that turned to sadness when the big icon of the controller hit the wrong item squarely. I wanted to get rid of a simple potion, it was a distraction. I was sad for a few minutes, but it’s just a game and life goes on.
