Reporting reminds of grade school that kid that went around telling on everyone for every stupid minor thing anyone said. Where most kids l just ignored it or didn’t care.

I applaud your concern for our current cultural situation, but I think you are both correct.
On one hand, if the company made the choice to place restrictions on speech and whatnot, due to it’s perceived business model and values, that’s a good thing.
They were acting of their own accord.
Yet when a business partners with the state (Twitter,Facebook), then it falls into your territory of said argument.
Kinda have to prove they are bending the knee, before you accuse someone is brown nosing for them.
This censorship in D2 itself, seems more like a cultural standard everyone is having to adhere to, but generally due to the pressure of those state sponsored media conglomerates I already mentioned.
While free speech is a beautiful thing, I can’t see Blizzard allowing their customers to have at it like they used to these days.

Subsidies to push an agenda. It’s the why you see all these tech companies pushing the same exact message. It’s not a coincidence.
What subsidies is Blizzard getting?
The Govt subsides the oil industry, agriculture, dairy, etc. I was not aware they gave subsidies to game companies.

I’m not too sure Blizzard is parroting things, but they will be after this fallout is over.
Sometimes you just have to ignore things out of your control or use the mute button. That chat isn’t even that bad. For me to get offended someone would have to be talking about some actual terrible vile things, not somebody dropping n bombs and trollin for attention. Hate speech is a big fat case of first world problems.
Tax cuts/= Subsides.
And also, sometimes folks say the same things because there are right and wrong answers. If the answer is right, then of course the answers will always be the same.
